Unable to equip 'Bloodless Scream' 2h Scythe after expansion launch

I logged in to Diablo 4 to play the Vessel of Hatred expansion. When I tried to equip my ‘Bloodless Scream’ 2h Scythe, I was unable to equip it. In the weapon description where it lists the requirements to equip it, it says, “Not usable by your class”, even though I meet all the requirements and I am a Necromancer. My Necromancer was NOT a seasonal character.

Same thing for me. It was equipped on my Necro months and months before the expansion. But I couldn’t attack.
Once I unequipped I can’t re-equip.

As far as I can tell it’s something to do with changing the farming targets for bloodless scream, and i guess if you got it from Beast in the Ice you can’t use it anymore?

Oh good lord. I had a REALLY good one…had great rolls on the stats. My necro was my favorite with that build. I hope they do something about it. Thanks for chiming in.

I opened a ticket with Blizzard support about this. Here’s the response I got after 2-3 days:

Game Master Aldathdra here, thank you so much for waiting for our reply.
I saw that you were not being able to equip a two-handed Blood Scream schythe to your main Necromancer character, since it keeps saying the item it's not equipped by your class.
This must surely feel frustrating, however Customer Support is unable to solve any sort of in-game bug which means that making a bug report would actually be the way to go here for that to get solved. Happening to me as well, loved the build I had going so hopefully it gets fixed soon

I cant use mine either! Ticks me off! I want to get it fixed orcto tell blizzard but i don’t know why it won’t work. It’s the same thing with my druid, build and the staff of the crone! Frustrating
