Description:

I purchased the Ultimate Edition of “Lord of Hatred” on 22/04 via the in-game store while playing through Steam.

Following the purchase:

  • Some cosmetic rewards were successfully granted

  • However, the core expansion content has not been applied correctly

Current issues:

  • Paladin and Warlock classes remain locked

  • Game still loads as Vessel of Hatred

  • Steam library shows that I do not own the Ultimate Edition DLC

  • Expansion content is therefore not playable


Steps Taken:

  • Restarted game and Steam client multiple times

  • Attempted Steam “refresh” methods (downloading other DLC / forcing updates)

  • Verified game files

  • Confirmed purchase via transaction history

  • Contacted support: Blizzard (reponded) / Steam ticket submitted (as of this post)


Support Interaction:

I raised this under ticket EU104387152 with Blizzard Entertainment support.

  • Initial response suggested generic troubleshooting (Steam refresh)

  • After confirming the issue persisted, I received a follow-up stating there is nothing they can do, and was redirected to submit a bug report instead

This response felt automated and did not address the underlying issue or provide a resolution path.


Expected Result:

  • DLC licence correctly applied to Steam account

  • Expansion content available in-game

  • Classes unlocked as per Ultimate Edition purchase


Actual Result:

  • DLC partially applied (cosmetics only)

  • Core expansion content inaccessible

  • Steam does not recognise DLC ownership


Impact:

  • Unable to access paid content

  • Missed launch experience and progression with friends

  • Loss of value for purchase due to timing


Additional Notes:

This appears to be a licensing / entitlement sync issue between Blizzard and Steam when purchasing via the in-game store.
