Many people watch Twitch, if there are drops, many more people watch, if Diablo 4 gets a lot of views it will be visible high up on the browse list, that will make more “non Diablo” players see it and become a potential costumer.
Its a marketing strategy to draw in more players to the game, its not to reward the players already playing the game.
