Twisting Blades WAS the only build that made rogue feel good

These nerfs bricked every aspect of twisting blades, and trying to use the skill now will always feel objectively worse than pre-nerf (and the improved aspect is also bugged???).

Rogue has a very rough time endgame and was not even S-tier, focus on why the other specs are so dogwater maybe instead of nerfing the one viable spec we had.

Another huge issue with this is lategame it is incredibly punishing to run a different build because of the gear requirements, effectively soft-bricking your character seeing as you need to completely rebuild your equipment.

As for the class feeling good, TB gave me carpal tunnel. I much more enjoy Penetrating Shot ranged rogue.

TB rogue is still one of the best builds in the game after the nerfs … What are you on?

This is Blizzard they kill builds that are viable instead of balancing things.

You 100% aren’t a high level rogue if you think this lol

Yep. At level 75 my TB Rogue is broken, unable to fix with skill changes or paragon changes. Only solution is to reroll a new Pen shot toon, because at level 75 trying to find all the gear and aspects for a different build is just not an option.

One of the best rogue builds. Other classes are way better.

Define “high level rogue”?

It is objectively worse at any level (obviously) but it gets to the point of being basically unviable 75+. The main issue it has 0 high nightmare dungeon push potential, which rogue overall also suffers from.

So then my lv78 rogue doing tier 35 (level 94 mobs) nightmare dungeons at a speedfarming pace is a statistical anomaly?

So my 91 rogue is unviable? Well isn’t that news to me lmao. Thank you though for assuming you know what I play. Just like the Barb and Druid nerfs, the class is fine and still crushing content.

I don’t understand you are not using twisted blades, so I’m glad your ranged build is working because that is what my new toon spec is going to be.

I’m running poison/flurry rogue and have no problem crushing tier 30+ dungeons.

Lol I thought in my head when reading this thread that poison flurry is the new meta for rogue. I really like poison trapper but it’s so hard not to get poison imbue with flurry and not use traps as well to supplement poison imbue is ridiculous

Ya it gets ridiculous. Poison Trap w 30% chance to reset poison imbue and then flurry. GG. I use dark shroud as well for more defense and move speed. Im zoomin through dungeons.

Barb and Druid are much better than rogue and can push higher NMT.

Literally talking about using Twisting Blades.

I am 78 clearing 39/40s with TB. I switched to preparation, and I have invested heavily into energy generation. I think TB still does more damage than flurry, it is just way more clunky to play now.

Yeah “clunky” is basically how I would describe it now. Just feels bad to play and have also swapped to prep/retooled paragon to rush for the reduced imbue CD.

Yeah, before I could drop a trap, TB an enemy, dash across a group, have the blades slice through them, and then back to the trap. It felt fun and like how a rogue should feel. Now I just feel slow and awkward, trying to wait for a movement skill to reset. Prep sort of helps but not really, seems like it only works on very high density groups. It’s just sucked all the fun out of this build.
