A menu setting would probably be great, some like, some don’t.
I like seeing that I am picking up Malignant Ichor! Did not even know that was a thing lol.
Okay so having experienced it myself now, it’s not THAT bad and can be a bit cute at times I guess, but it’s still bad and totally unnecessary. Did anyone ever ask for this? It creates pointless clutter and distractions and the information provided is almost totally irrelevant because unless you’re trying to calculate your mats per second or something, who the heck cares how many mats you pick up every time.
The placement is also just obnoxious on pc with centered UI. It sits awkwardly high above the health glove almost in the middle of all the action. Not sure how it is with other setups but this is a terrible place for it?
If we’re going to keep this silliness at least put it all the way to the side of the screen above the chatbox, or better yet incorporate it INTO the chatbox in one of the many channels, make it a menu toggle, or better all of the above,
As it is it’s a silly game downgrade not a QOL.

idk why people crying so much about it. Not even noticing it most of the time. maybe u shouldnt play from you inet cafe which is still stuck at 1024x768 resolution.
I thought it was cool, it has a small icon. I do agree there should be an option to disable.

Whats even more amazing is the defense for complaining about it. When it looks this horrible on a pc screen and you can’t stop looking at a silly pixilated iron icon floating above the ui off in the middle of no where, i mean smh.
But you know i am sure its easy to ignore on a 70inch TV while sitting on the couch at lunch.
Just throws it in with no QC. I mean it’s disappointing, for something so small and not useful to 99% of players, yet so annoying and distracting to the player experience.
For me i cant not get ocd about it, its like getting a spam text even few minutes i can not block.
that was before is saw the new ones in game, i thought OP at that point was talking about the floating text in gold that has the plus one and icon now.
See whats amazing about people like you that come at the person and not the subject is you assume context in and environment where its very hard to fully capture it. smh.

So many things need fixed in this game and they waste time on a feature, that no one probably requested and very few use.

These pop ups could be fine for really rare things like sparks and ubers but for general mats? Who cares. its dumb

It’s by far one of the dumbest things they spend development time on… Don’t give us something useful like an AH or Overlay map no no no Give us useless “you’ve picked up x amount of shards” on our screen!
