Not sure if it’s a bug or not but i’ve come across a few treasure goblins that go immune and vanish. I wonder if it’s a global spawn timer that’s hidden or it’s a bugged spawn

Same here - happens rather often, especially when you dismount. Today with every engaged treasure goblin and over the last week I’d say about 10-15 times

Im wondering if its mount related. I jump off to attack and seems they instantly teleport. Side note, I have noticed on many, many occasions then when dismounting, my icon on the minimap briefly shows a goblin icon.

Dont matter inhave yet got anything good just yellows and blues.
dont worry they never have any treasure anyway D3 goblins are way more fun they are like pinatas

Yeah, I am having the same problem. They are vanishing with no animation, unless I stunlock them and keep them frozen. This has been happening to me since launch.

I’ve had several Legendary drops from treasure goblins, almost to the point of every other one I encounter. And yes, I’ve had them vanish as soon as I hit them, usually after a dismount attack.

Same issue here.
The last 3 goblins I have encountered just dissapeared and seemed to have a silver life bar.
I just don’t get it.
Gotta have a sorc in party. teleport frost nova.
But yes, I’ve seen this issue more frequently since last patch in 3 out of 5 goblins encountered in open world.
Wonder if code says whoops, just scanned and you encountered one too recently so no loot for you right now – respawn later. Very serious here.
I have fought 3 goblins during the season. What I see happening is that they try to run away very very fast. They run so fast that you barely have time to mount up and chase them. If you don’t keep damaging them constantly then they will start casting their escape portal to escape once they have not taken damage for x amount of seconds.
I do not know the amount of time that has to pass when they are not taking damage before they are allowed to cast their escape portal. But the moment they start to cast the escape portal they become immune to damage as all damage to them will show Immune. The escape portal takes 2 to 3 seconds to cast and then they are gone. It seems that as soon as they start to cast the escape portal they are then immune to damage.
The goblins are very poorly designed in D4.
They take way too much effort to chase down and kill for generally useless gear.
Although I did get a unique off one that I killed in Season 1 as I did manage to kill 1 out of the 3 I encountered. It was the pants for frost mage the Iceheart Brais.
They need to at least take away the immunity they have while they cast their escape portal as that is just unfair.
Can confirm, happened 3 times in season, as soon as i see TG he become immortal and vanish in a mater of a second…
I’ve seen this happen before even hitting them.
They might be on a timer and despawn automatically after they have been in an area for too long.
Maybe to prevent multiple spawns in the same location but who knows with this dev team.

Yep. I leap attack and then the health bar is greyed out and he disappears. I haven’t even damaged one this season let alone killed one.

This has happened to me a lot and it still happening to me till this day. I see a goblin that has great health and hid it and immediately it disappears not 3 seconds. Not 5 seconds but literally 1 second. There is no animation whatsoever. It just jumps and goes away. I don’t think this is supposed to happen but it’s definitely trolling. I can’t count on my hands How many times this has happened but it’s definitely over 20. It is a nuisance.

I think I saw a post somewhere about the dismount attack causing this, but I can’t recall where I saw it. Try normally getting off your horse before attacking.
I’ve seen them while wondering around on foot and the same thing happens. It only happens to me in Season 1. My non-season Barb has no such problem.
I did actually kill my first Gob of Season 1 yesterday. Maybe?
Crazy. I found the source, it was icy-viens on june 26th. Lol. Sorry dude, they were just speculating that the dismount attack causes it, bad source. I wish yall luck! I only ever get leggos with aspects I don’t use from them. Lol
