Trade chat not working

IT IS ENABLED.

Went through the usual troubleshooting. Checked game settings (hadn’t changed anything) checked system settings (again, made no changes).

Reset the system. Reset the game. Reset the defaults. Closed game. Closed system.

The chat is visible but no messages are coming through and when I submit a message nothing happens.

The window just sits there blank.

Has been ongoing for about a week.

Hey, same for me since patch 1.4.4 trade chat dosnt work. Just wanted to offer and link an item for sale but message wont appear. Also i cant see any messages, couldnt belive no 1 is writeting for days pls fix

Seems like a few people have posted on this and no response from Bliz. Tech support was useless too

Trade chat down again!? Can’t see or type anything.

Hi I am Amsha, and the same goes for me but now during Season 11, I get an error code (“there is a problem sending the trade message. (Code 10004).)

What is the code 10004?

I have gone through the normal reset, I have made sure I have no parental controls on (as I am older grown man), I have made sure everything is either on default on the console, and in the account privacy settings on the app, there are times it comes on and then the chat stays off. I’ve watched videos, setup port forwarding, I do get Local chat (?), that I can see.

Same thing. Trade chat down for 5 season now for me.

Can’t sell, can’t buy, very difficult to play and enjoy the game.

And no feedback on fixing this bug

Trade chat on HC not working PS5. Only reason I play this game so let’s fix it.

Mine worked up until 3 days ago now every time I join a game it says “character name has entered chat” and I’m unable to send messages in trade error code (10004). Makes me want to quit the game😂 ridiculous. And of course if you unlink ps5 from your battle.net it takes 90 days to re link. Was just an idea on my end as I tried legit every other thing I’ve read online about it.

Same. Trade chat no longer functional since about 5 days ago on PS5. Things I’ve tried:

  • Disabling trade chat, logging off, then re-enabling it. Various combinations of this be it changing settings in game or at character select.
  • Disabling cross play. Like above, tried various combinations of this with and without disabling trade chat as well. It DID kind of work once in which I was able to send messages in trade chat but I was not receiving any back.
  • Repeatedly turning trade chat on and off and saving each time. This gives you a 10007 error instead of the 10004 error, whatever that is.
  • Using another account. My wife’s account doesn’t work either.
  • Restoring default settings
  • Restoring default settings and starting a brand new character.
  • Switching between seasonal hardcore, seasonal, and eternal realms and trying all of the above. Trade chat doesn’t function on any realm.
  • Full reinstall of the game.

Absolutely nothing works. It’s been days of trying to troubleshoot this and it’s even more disheartening that there’s been zero acknowledgement from Blizzard about this problem - a problem that, according to posts here and elsewhere, has been present for many seasons now.

Local chat is the only channel that functions. Furthermore, this appears to be exclusively a Playstation issue. Players on Xbox apparently are not having this issue while many Playstation players are affected.

Same on xbox, any fix yet?
