Naaa they would rather have every player sitting there waiting without a single word as to whats going on or even an update as to the issue. Talk about completely dropping the ball and pissing off all the players. I guess that’s a Nooo when it comes to whatever Blizzard says they will do or when they’ll do it.
… or at least noone sensible.
ok bud so how many times can blizzard completely fumble a freaking launch before its okay to be mad?.. tf
And for more than 2 house like every other player been sitting there waiting for some sort of change and maybe an update so you can play what you paid for.
I’ve seen blizzard make some pretty stupid mistakes but this one really tops them all and there will be fallout for them.
We accurately predicted the results over 2 hours ago
absolutely. I’ll never pre-order content from them again…and I’ve been playing Blizzard games since 1994.
That’s the double standard right. When you don’t pay them they are quick to cut you off but when they don’t give you access to what you already paid for…Opps our bad.
Hey! stuff happens it’s a game be cool ,just always ask for communication from those who know whats going on and then I’m cool, You do your part I’ll do mine.
since we’re just being cool…you wanna send me some money for a service I’m going to fail to deliver? I offer a deluxe package of regret…
The posts above hit the nail on the head: “Blizz set the expectations, then failed”.
To be clear, it’s not that anyone doubts they’ll deliver. It’s that even when they deliver, they already failed to manage customers’ expectations, and appear to be treating people like the kind of person who tells you “I’m on my way” while they’re actually still entering the shower.
Hopefully, this will lead to cutting through the noise and all the valid frustrations, and asking blizzard for “corageous transparency”, where people will still complain all the time, but they won’t harbour resent.
PS: An aside, The way I see it, people who use labels to diminish other people’s points of view are not serious participants in a conversation. I mean, if you vouch your expectations you’re a Karen, if you say something in Blizzard’s defense you’re a white knight - so on and so forth. Hopefully we’ll one day normalize the notion that people who’re unserious, don’t merit a serious response.
Actually is how you spell it. Ackshully lol
I’m used to delays on launch of new content. What I’m annoyed about is that I can’t even log in and play at all since I get the “Can’t find a valid license” error code. I even tried all the workarounds they have listed in tech support, then I even uninstalled and reinstalled both D4 and Battle.net
So annoying.
Since people on Bnet are expecting a “sizeable download” I think what is happening or rather “happend” earlier this evening when they announced the delay initially, is the following:
- They noticed that something was funky with the Bnet-patch or rather the pre-load data
- They checked every other plattform, did a complete delta of their files for every plattform (corresponds with the staggered “update” on Steam and Consoles and also the communication “Steam can now download!”
- At last, they probably discovered Bnet-patch-data was corrupt or a wrong build, something like that
- They took the bitter pill, since they promised “same launch time for everyone” and also to not suck up to their mistake, that on their own plattform there was something borked, which they should have caught probably a week ago and need to push the entire build (maybe even compile, who knows) to their own plattform. This would also explain why the "Pre-Data loaded"message on Bnet is gone.
Just my 2 cents but from an IT-guys perspective, this seems veeery likely what happend.
When u make a char call it karen it would suit u lol. ahh well we have to wait
They get me every time. You think I would learn. Disappointed in myself.
I know I always get a rush for a new game but my brain is like oh it’s a Blizzard game it’s not going to be up when it says. Blizzard isn’t capable of launching things properly they even screw up their patches to the point where they have to spend weeks of ‘extended maintenace’ to get things working
You see, that’s funny! You convincingly pretend to have absolutely no clue of what the pop term “Karen” is supposed to represent, and you’re absolutely unafraid to expose yourself to the ridicule you’d deserve if you were being anything other than ironic.
Smart, funny and ironic. Well done!
Agreed, I will just play Rogue Trader until it’s ready. Plenty of games to play.
This made me happy lol
Typical Blizzard. Worked harder pushing the pre-sale than delivering the product. I’m never surprised but always disappointed…
How long will it take to bring it up again?
