can we have the choice to bring our eternal characters into the season because I’ve spent hours and hours leveling up my character and i really don’t want to waste my time doing it all over again…

They promised a level reset + server transfer feature all the way back in 2023.
But what content will you have left to do.

Then stay on eternal then. You make it sound like it cant be done in 4-5 hours.
Or wait a few days and ask someone to boost you and youll be max level in under 20 min.

all the new season stuff. i just hate wasting my time making a new character and trying to get all the gear again when i can do that all on my original character
Stop thinking of it as a waste of time, then, and start thinking about it as the actual game.

That’s the inherited purpose of seasons: start all over again, from scratch.
There’s no way your chars from eternal will ever come back to make new season again.
If they do, what would be the purpose of seasons? None!
Basically what you’re asking is a season killer…

I also thought the same as you before I got to level 60 really quickly and reconsidered, if I really wanted that. I came to thr conclusion that the issue is not the leveling reset itself, it’s that the replayability of the leveling is not good enough.
If they removed leveling, they would need to change the game progression and content updates a lot.

I suggested for Blizzard to add Rebirth like in D3 a while ago on this forum, so we don’t have to delete and re-create our characters. That would be ideal and great if this feature was added to Diablo IV, for sure. Hopefully, Blizzard will get around to doing it. 
Season stuff takes 30 min to experience them it’s the same old shii
