What if we could convert materials in the alchemist going up?
Going from the lowest material to the highest.
But, why that, Rishon?
Because what if the player doesn’t want to endure the pain of hitkills and the uncertainty of not knowing if he will finish that run or will waste his time?
Converting materials in the way up would make us able to farm lower levels of the Pit and with a good amount, convert it to higher materials.
So you could just chill and do some Pit runs without worrying you will fail or die.
I would even dare to call this: More fun.
I feel it would be horribly inefficient, but I could understand the need for it. Same ratio of course just in reverse. Would obviously cost you more lower tiered mats to make just 1 of the higher tiered mats. It would be an extremely painful grind, but at least it’d be an option for those who want to use it.
Are you struggling to do pit 60+ for the final tier of materials? I’m sure the community can give you some guidance for your class if you’re struggling?
I personally see no benefit to this. The system is designed so that it wants you completing 60+ if you want to finish that items masterwork 9-12.
1shot boss mechanic. I got killed by “echo of lilith”. That’s y i only do her 1 per season, but now she is everywhere.
tempering. I dont even do GA gear for my sane but i brick all 6 normal staff trying to get my double wind sheer, it never appear once.
Fix? I still having fun, but a better experience is welcomed
leave poe and darksoul fan base where they are, diablo dont have to please them with this. Your defense doesnt matter, it will just 1 hit, that’s dumb. Scale dmg with defense. If u Implement a very hard hit, let there is a way to counter that, even if player have to sacrify dmg.
let reroll temper cost goes up and up like reroll affixes. Or even need special mats like masterworking, but 5/5 is not enough, heck, in my druid experience, 30/30 isnt even enough.
I think they should adress the real problem: one-shots from pit bosses.
Difficult content should mean running out of Health potions.
Currently Health potions have zero use. Its healthy or dead.
A sign its not well balanced.
I wouldn’t make that change. I understand the need and reasoning for it but to me, you’re asking for the rewards of doing higher tier pit levels without actually doing them like other people who have pushed their builds to that point. Now some builds may be a lot weaker than others so in that light, it’s a balance issue that should be addressed, not the material grind.
I’m going to go with no for converting going up. Masterworking is an end game gear optimizing feature. There should be some difficulty in achieving it. You also don’t need to do it. I cleared all content in the game with most pieces 8/12 masterworked. Right now I chill and farm pit 81, not worried about dying really at all unless I’m not looking at the screen.
