It can feel clunky in comparison to a greater rift. Not to mention the layouts are the same three tile-sets you’ve seen since launch.
The transition into the boss room is very clunky though. I understand the reasoning behind it, but it feels off and slow., it doesn’t flow well.
There’s also the factor that you’re so used to it from D3, any slight variation will just feel odd in comparison.
Rewards are also rather lackluster as well. For the most part all you get are materials for upgrading your gear. There’s no real dopamine rush with all that loot showering down on you at the end, it’s just mats… oh boy.
Grifts in D3 were just meant as a very fast paced romp through the environments to get to the pot of gold at the end. D4, by comparison, is a clunky version that offers you some legos you can use to increase the power of your gear.
