This game is so dang dead

Went to World Boss in Normal, no one was there at all.

Ah well, Blizzard’s glory days are all but gone.

Eternal or Seasonal, also what server do you normally connect to? Do you also have crossplay on?

The lack of general chat makes it even more eerie. Feels like im playing in a lonely universe.

How can you release an MMO like RPG with no general chat?

I wouldn’t be complaining about world bosses being empty if it’s non-Seasonal, most players could solo them by now in there.

Seasonal and yes, cross-play enabled.

Well in normal difficulty I would beg to differ. Not to mention most people are probably playing through the campaign on normal, then bump it up to Hard as they get better gear. So the fact a Normal difficulty World Boss has no one there, at this specific time in the day doesn’t surprise me.

It’s anywhere between 10:20 AM PDT, and 1:20 PM EDT in the states right now. Majority of the player base is probably still working. Those that are still playing, are well beyond Normal difficulty.

Regardless, it wasn’t like this even in Season 3.

Expansion dropped and even if I’m doing campaign, I can still take a pause and do these still annoying time-locked events.

No one came before the countdown ends, and no one was there throughout the whole 10 minutes I was soloing the boss which of course I have not enough dps to take it down by myself.

And no, I’m not from the States (you do know there are players from other regions, right?)

New expansion new expectations. S3 most of the player base had already completed the campaign and were looking to level as fast as they could. That’s not the case when a new expansion comes out. Give it a week or two, you’ll probably see more people in Normal difficulty world bosses.

Most of us are hanging out in the torment tiers
Theres no point in doing wb at normal tier because no one is there

At least you can solo the WB.

My experience was worse. First day had a bunch of less than lv 5s dying constantly to the WB (Hard). I was 30ish. Spent 10+ minutes failing to get a kill. The WB gains HP based on number of players present.

Instead of spending 10 mins leveling up in a Helltide to hit 20, they wasted everyone’s time on a WB.

Should really lock out WB until lv 25. Like a roller coaster “you must be this tall to enter”.

Wish I could ask for a refund, doesn’t seem that many players in my region bought into Blizzard’s broken promises again.

I solo it but I couldn’t kill it in time, took it down to maybe 1/3 of its HP before timer ran out and Ashava just scoffs at me before going back to its little corner of hell.

Do you remmeber anyone at WBs in old WT1? Cuz thats basically what normal is.

I never touched world bosses until I got to WT4. Now with the new system it wont be until Torment 1. Im still on my eyernal character doing the story and quests . And thanks to the hurricane I cant even log in to finish that up and start a seasonal character until the internet cuts back on.

Id suggest OP upping to torment level 1-4 as that is where most seasonal players are by now. Most people on normal are just there to level up.

Get stronger! I promise you will melt him in about week or two! :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s been 2 days and people already want to be able to “solo” bosses!

Really…

It was more common in S3 and up for sure, but usually never jam packed full with 12 people. I went there maybe once or twice while leveling a character if I happened to get lucky? Now if they were on a 1 or 2 hour timer, I might’ve been there more often, but a 3 hour timer? Yea I’m not changing my schedule around for that lol.

Most people are likely playing on at least Hard or higher.

Any time I’ve done a world boss on Hard or Expert there have been plenty of people.

Also, the game isn’t saving my quest progress. It got resetted after I left the game and relaunched it, geez …

Yep. Plus add the fact that things got delayed so folks are playing with desparate times.

When I started and did Helltides there were barely people. Got to Torment 1 and there’s barely anyone there. But earlier today, Torment 1 is lively. Chat is pretty much alive.

The more we progress with the campaign and season, the general activity in the base map will be back to normal like in S5. Also people are probably taking a pause in campaign and trying to learn the stuff

I guess that no one plays on Normal as its way too easy. Hard or Expert would probably mean more players. There’s plenty of players every time I did a WB at Expert/Torment difficulty.

Going to add spoilers here as I assume you’ve already completed the campaign, but the wife and I just got the mercenaries unlocked, went to the next part in the story line where we get another cutscene with Neyrelle on top of a pillar by herself and Mephisto talking to us, and now we’re traveling somewhere else to get another things help. We haven’t done much else though. I still stream every night too, so if anyone still needs their twitch drops, drop on by.

We’ve done maybe like 2 realmwalker events, and a single dungeon for one of her aspects for Spiritborn, but that was it. We get roughly 2-3 hours a night to play together, so we’re just taking our time. I have no doubt there are others in our situation that are taking it slowly as well, there will be plenty of people to play with throughout this month and the next I have no doubt. Now the third month I can see it dying down again.
