A good way to keep “retention” high on the long run is to make customers happy and offer a wide range of products for everyone.
Not 1 Prodcut that has to fit everyone that is basicly impossible.
Yes atm Blizz is making tons of money with D4 and CoD and whatnot but at the same time the “Reputation” of the company is at an all time low. This can backfire like a boomerang, Ubisoft can tell a story about that.
You can only lower your “Quality” standarts so much before the whole thing collapses.
Ubisoft mistakes wasnt that games were too easy, it was that they tried to milk IPs too much, for example by releasing one Assassin Creed game per year, to milk the franchise and ending up with buggy low quality products, instead of focusing on making the games better even if it meant less titles published
You aint even max level and complain its too easy ? 15 hours to 71 is slow af.
I think they made the bosses totally boring cuss they take forever to kill and oneshot you with almost every spell, (im at Pit 60-70 atm) as a semi casual.
71 lvl and too easy ?
Go PIT at least - 100
Go Hordes at least - 7
Go and kill Tormented boss (any of them)
If You want challenge even now - use 3 brains on helltide
Accomplish NMD 100 at least, try listed above and then, back to us and tell us again - “it’s too easy”
The ubers are so strong now that you can mentally check out of even a T8 Hoard. The DR values are super high even before masterworking or GA values. I’m in the minority camp, I actually like this on chase items…though dare I say, maybe the drop rate now is too high.
D:I is literaly a April Fools joke gone alive due to Greed.
D4 Has an MTX Store and many MOBA Tropes. Just like recent AC games.
Well, D4 was not very buggy, but very low quality on release, probably cause they outsourced a lot of the content to get the deadline done. What is not in the game can’t be buggy. They are still “bandaging” all those problems now 1.5 years after official release, so significant was the “Mess” they made.
which blizz also refused. They are still not done fixing D4 Vanilla yet they pump out VoH.
Solely to cash in, there is zero benefit for us customers and it is not helping the quality of the game. This is a cash grab, and i bet my A$$ VoH will be as unfinished as Vanilla D4 with many “bad” mechanics.
Leveling speed is certainly easy yeah. It should be. Maybe not quite this fast but not like at launch either. I suspect that will change at expansion with the stats squish and stuff.
Also you are 71. Have you even pushed yourself or you just spamming helltides and low level nm dungeons. Surely you could have juiced that with mind cages in helltides and higher level nm dungeon keys. Did you do that or you just doing efficient crap and calling it easy. Did you do any hordes or are you waiting until you’re already geared up. Did you juice them with scrolls? I mean you can’t just take the easy road and then complain it’s easy.
I think a lot of people already responded OP but I’ll just toss in response as well:
Leveling has gotten extremely fast now. You can hit level 100 in roughly 8 hours if you push efficiency. I hit it in about 10 hours not focusing on efficiency as much.
As for difficulty, it is there but it is a bit of a “wall difficulty” than a “soft difficulty hill.” For me, Companion Druid, Pit is somewhere in the mid-110s but haven’t fully found the wall yet. The build has great single target damage and DR so Pits are much easier. For Infernal Hordes right now it is t6 because the build can get overwhelmed by sheer numbers.
He said he’s level 71 in tier 4 so probably not high in either of those. I did a Tier 2 Infernal Horde last night as a level 70 and barely made it through. Had 1 or 2 deaths remaining. Kept getting wrecked by skeleton elites on their bow machines.
With these types of games, when things get too easy, I just increase the difficulty. I’ll do a higher NMD. Sounds more like the OP is talking about the overworld, which yeah, that’s easy.
Thats an incorrect statement. There has been some challenges in the Diablo series. Please go play Diablo 1 as a Warrior with out using the dupe glitch and no magic, Pure MELEE. I bet you get rocked by them meaning ahem the Blood Knights in the Final floors.
Diablo 2 had a skill check in Normal Duriel fight (assuming you don’t have an Cannot Be Frozen Item). Or if you know the cheese method fight Duriel and you’ll see just how tough it is.
Diablo 3 - Also was challenging when the game FIRST came out. Many people don’t seem to remember the inferno mode. Where it nearly was impossible for any melee type character to get past act 2.
If you didn’t have any of that knowledge you do today about the game you would find it difficult.
About D1 and D2, the skill needed was less than what you need today. I dont know if you know this, but the VAST MAYORITY of people playing D4 has NEVER killed a single Uber boss. NOT ONE
D2 Duriel is a JOKE compared to even current difficulty, the difference is that you meassure D2 Duriel difficulty based on average player, and you meassure D4 Uber based on streamers
If you meassure both base on the AVERAGE player, a lot more fail to kill them in D4 over D2
Baal farming was mostly an afk fight compared to Infernal Hordes or Pit
It’s always people who are literally only doing easy content who talk about the game being too easy.
If I had to compare PoE vs D4’s leveling process, PoE is probably 5x harder. PoE is generally much harder than D4. Relative to PoE, this game is easy.
However, D4 also has Pit T200 that no one has cleared, so there is difficulty to be found in-game.
There’s zero skill required of D4 players; only gear and the right build is necessary. But mechanical skill? This game can be played by handicapped individuals, whereas PoE is probably impossible.
So we are judging challenge content, based on Uber bosses and I’m sure you presumably mean Uber Lilith right or you talking about the others too? Game has only been out a little over a year that curve will change, with how easy things are becoming.
Im sure people in D2 haven’t even killed the D clone or Ubers ever as well. Plus With D1 and D2 the games have been out for over 20 YEARS what do you expect of course skill is less now everyone knows whats what.
Again D2 20 years of being out there and D4 only shy over a year. OF course many more has killed in D2 given the time frame.
It does? All you are comparing difficulties to D4 Ubers… Oh yeah D2 duriel is a joke on Normal mode? Like I said go fight it without cheese or cannot be frozen on a melee character. What about D2 Ubers or D Clone?
idk guys what is this progress check for those who telling you that this game is easy.
I finished this season like 3 days ago already, speedrunning infernal hordes t8 and pit 120 (could probably go way higher, just make no sense). Killed all tormented bosses, uber lilith(all of them are a joke). Many times
And yeah this game is way too easy. Probably easier than D3. You literally can’t die in D4, legendaries are raining from the sky, you get like 100m per 1 infernal horde run and too much pit mats. But the most dissapointing fact for me personally - there is no even slightlest feeling of danger in this game at all.
