First of all - I said in my original post that the “Wacky Ideas”…hell I will quote it:

YES they will still make money but you’ve effectively cut the efficiency down by 95%.

If I buy food from you and go home and cook it…or you have to come cook with me. Bad example but I mean goods and services are point of exchange - DONE and DONE.
Not hold my hand AFTER the sale.
That’s cumbersome AF.

As far as accounts? You know that’s sketchy as hell.
So People will buy an account loaded with mats and…what? Have to run 2x copies to farm for their Main account?
Oh the joy of getting an uber on the ‘throwaway’ account.
How would it even work? I mean talk about desperation of a Player to go to these lengths and the desperation of someone to use this as a point in an attempt to MAKE a point …

They didn’t because as was mentioned in one of the streams, this new team has never delivered a game before. So yeah, they have no experience with delivering games before.

I mean though, in fairness I don’t think anyone is pre-selling S3 mats yet like a ticket scalper before ticket sales even released since there is not 100% confidence they can get their hands on the mats easily yet?

The same “wacky ideas” that have been happening in every similar game since the beginning of the genre? Go look at D2jsp right now, and you’ll see multiple Duriel rotation threads. If that exists before your silly proposals take any effect, they’ll exponentially increase afterward.

Thank you for echoing my sentiments. You guys who truly think this will have any impact at all need to go look at the rampant bots in D3, a game without any trading at all.

Genius, if you really think the RMT sites that specifically use bots to dupe millions of mats and gold, won’t use bots to take buyers through Duriel runs, this has to be your very first Blizzard title and you haven’t read anything in this thread.

Uhh… you realize both scenarios currently exist as multi billion dollar corporations, right? Further, bots will do the runs for them. It takes literally 0 effort on their part.

My god… you know that’s not even against the UELA, right? D4 specifically allows that, even though previous Diablo titles didn’t, and people still did it.

What??? Is it difficult for you to open two browsers and monitor 2 screens at once? If so, how do you actually work or listen to music while doing something else on your computer?

Maybe we’re from different worlds, but for me, personally, I find it quite easy to monitor multiple screens/programs/apps and control them all at once.

I did a quick Google search and saw 909 max level accounts for sale on a single website, and that’s for a dying D4 with a tiny remaining playerbase. Imagine how much better the market would be if the mat buyers were forced to buy accounts.

It’ll definitely happen, honestly. They’re still duping their own items in game any time the item is modified. Players simply figure out a way to keep the old copy around via packet manipulation. Until Blizzard stops duping their own items, dupes will always exist.

909 accounts for sale is nothing first of all. the other half of the equation is people buying accounts. unfortunately we dont have access to be able to determine how tiny the market is, but i will say like 3. so 3 people have bought accounts, probably upset afterwards because they have accounts with chinese names and live in america.

That’s a single website, smarty pants, for a dead game. There are hundreds of thousands of websites selling them. And that volume will climb exponentially when they have to buy accounts for boss mats. 909 on a single website for a game with like 30k players is insane.

RMT’ers literally always win.

But honestly, this isn’t about preserving the integrity of the game, you guys just want it to be a single player no-lifer’s dream. Hilariously, even in D3, only the bots reached the top of the leaderboards.

first off “sharing” accounts is against EULA/TOS and the person can be banned. secondly the seller can always claim their account was hacked and it can be returned back to the original owner. this is why people dont buy accounts. your argument that people will turn to buying accounts if they cant buy duriel mats is ridiculous.

The biggest question is why people are willing to spend real money? They spend money to buy a game. Then spend more money to stop playing that game.

You need to stop spreading this BS around. This literally never happens. MAYBE people have sold high paragon accounts, but no one bought an account for a bunch of money because it was number one for a season.

Make Uniques and Legendaries tradable for 2 hours in a group like it used to be in D3.

Making the mats BOP sounds just stupid to me. They need to improve group play not cripple it further.

How to fix this? Fix the bug that is used to dupe stuff.

Third Party Tradingsites are mandatory without an auctionhouse or global trade chat, but the ingame chat system needs an upgrade anyway.

I’m way more concerned about exploiting and snapshotting, which makes the whole idea of a ladder absurd. Some people don’t even try to hide what they are doing and share exploits and bugs on their twitch streams.

Well, tbc classic wow accounts with double glaive rogues have been sold for thousands of dollars.

Man, I have my account still since Vanilla. Even with both warglaives, thunderfury, sunwell bow, fangs of the father, invincible, spectral tiger I could never part with my account. Haven’t played in 15 years, maybe some day though.

It was relevant going into Sunwell. Now, not so much. I wouldn’t have parted with it, either.

How will streamers be able to 100 runs a day if they can’t buy mats on a dummy account or get donated thousands of mats if mats were bop
