Sorc was already lacking in damage while being super squishy, now it’s lacking in both with a slight buff to barriers like that does anything.

The biggest issue is they nerfed armor bonuses and didn’t give sorc any armor to compensate for resistances not working.
They should have at a minimum said for season 1 the resists will convert to like 50% of what the armor contribution would be if it was strength.
Sorc can’t even stack armor to live now in higher level NM dungeons lol. There’s no way possible at all.

Baldurs gate 3 in 2 weeks. Starfield comes out a month after that. D4 is dead.

D4 Balance Team, are you actually playing the game or do you still read feedback from beta1 phase , where so called “pro” streamers called Sorc OP on lvl 25 , and then you nerfed half of sors arsenal. Wake-up! Start doing some nightmare dungeons 70+ …
We need to revert nerf from beta… Give Sorc again 3d enchantment slot , many of skills need flat dmg increase cuz base numbers are low, and shift at-least 30% of armor’s reduction into resistance, sorc is paper and you are not doing it any favor.

My brothers in Christ, you already have a unique that gives me 2 extra projectiles for free. Why would I want one less than that for ALL of my mana and 5% extra damage. The only possible thing I can think of is literally a joke meme build where I’ve got like 4 fireballs kicking around, doing no damage, with no mana, bouncing around like bocce balls. Would be funny to see but worthless.

Basically - 60% damage reduction, and we can only do that level of damage about 80% of the time, while taking 40% more damage? Did I get that right?
Oh, and for 5-10% of the XP bonus that we were getting?
And here I almost had my build dialed in. I was doing NM31s with some effort at lvl 82.
I will log in today to get the map settings set for season 1.
I will try Druid for season 1.
Then I will stop wasting 3-5 hours a day on this game.

I legitimately feel like Blizzard’s “help” is something I no longer want. Please keep your hands away from the numbers that go into the class unless you’re going to double them or triple them on the skill side.

Sorc is going to get a full rework, which there isn’t time for. If you don’t like Sorc right now don’t roll one for S1.

Well, Blizzard employees decided to lape, sorry my chinese accent sometimes comes through, the Sorc Class because…cough…you know. They need to fire these clowns and revert the changes. We need massive Buffs to Core Skills and Mastery Skills, Devouring Blaze can´t get nerfed until we have more options and we NEED better option for Survivability.
None of these changes convinced me to go for other Affixes. It is still the same priority just worse. Cooldown is even more important now. If they wanted us to go for other Affixes then they should have reduced Cooldowns and not CDR, f-ing donkeybrains. I would gladly go for more DR on my Amulet IF Cooldowns werent dogpoop.
I just do not understand these changes.

I spent a couple hours playing. I really can’t fathom how the developers could come up with such garbage. I feel like I have wasted my time and the sorcerer is a dead class. No viable builds for late game. Do 50% less damage and struggle with content 20 levels below. Have tried a couple different builds same result. Playability now gone. Seems likely the developers don’t play their own game… or have a vendetta against sorcerer. Really no other explanation for nerfing worst class.

50% loss? You sure it aint more? I am at a 87% damage loss. 3million crits to 400k crits.
