Lots of false information here.
First the snake only costs 100, not 400
Second it costs 400 offering orbs to unlock all 4 branchs.
Third you get to choose a passive from each tree to be active. and you are able to bond with one of the 4 spirits to take two passives.
So in total you get 5 passives for free. Not really that bad IMO.
