It’s hilarious seeing people complain about rogue squishiness when they don’t realize the solution to all there problems is literally at their fingertips.
I am telling you, the aspect of uncanny treachery is BROKEN OVERPOWERED. You can be invisible FOREVER.
I am level 60 and I can run level 25-30 nightmare sigils with ease. No deaths, barely a scratch.
What’s more broken than infinite stealth? Nothing.
I’d agree, except the damage isn’t higher than the other classes to justify that. The high ceiling justifies the squishiness. Without that ceiling, you just have a mid class that can’t melee and doesn’t reward you for it.
Rogue is a monster of defence if you build for it. People tend to build purely damage in all gear pieces and suddenly they push higher and guess what? They get one shotted. Dear fellas , build up your defences. Take armor/life , get defensive aspects, spec into DRs .
Im playing a flurry/imbuements build( cold/shadow) with temerity and defensive aspects and im practically immortal. Doing 55lvl sigils on lvl 77
the only way to feel tanky as a rogue is to use momentum passive with twisting blades to proc it regularly and have the legendary passive that heals you for like 100 every second while its active, the only other way to not die is play ranged rogue, they need to give melee specs 15% free DR like they did in D3
at lvl 100 and trying to do 80+ dungeons you will realize Temerity is worse than wearing a good rolled yellow pair of pants with def stats on it.
Its a very solid item for low level, but it doesnt scale with you. Once Mobs do actually real damage that exceeds your “baseline” Lifepool you will realize. Temerity only makes you immortal on low end content and isnt viable beyond that.
Hey guys level 91 Rogue here, heavily defensive invested, Twisting blades and self heal etc. Rogue will fail at higher and higher tiers due a very basic reason. Scaling. Math has been done by many people no point getting into that right now. Basically anything above you 25-30 levels things gets pretty nasty. I got all Close damage reduction+aspects max rolled less damage from poisoned and such with a very good crit chance and +skills / crit/vun damage to CCed damage and good chain of CC/Daze/Chill combo due unique boots and stuff yet problem is simply scaling and how armor works in resistances calculation which Blizzard confirmed. Since there is no worthy reward of being in high NM or pushing for it, just farm what you can. Enjoy the game if you can at this point
For point of reference, given that different classes feel weaker at different stages with different builds:
I play with my son who is a HotA Barb, I am a Death Trap/Twisting Rogue. We are roughly level 80 and currently doing 50+ nm keys. I am 100% the tank and he is the dps. I can face tank/stand in most anything and still do decent damage.
I will have to see if this changes in the 90s. I suspect it will since I have kind of already squeezed most of the available defensive juices from the fruit and improvements will be minimal going forward.
Yeah you can literally watch the 7 stages of grief manifest when you play with other rogues that try to glass cannon nm dungeons. Most are stuck in shock/denial stage 1 for soooo long. They just keep arguing and making excuses of “oh it was just that exploding mob, it’s not my build” - or insert any other random excuse. It’s just a lot of eyeroll for us that are rezzing them every 10 seconds. Please just get to acceptance and rebuilding sooner.
what level are you? id love to see how this pans out for you as a lvl 100 in 75+ tier dungeons vs other classes like wind ww druid ice sorc hota barb or bone necro.
once you get to lvl 100, go try a lvl 75+ dungeon in a completely tank/cc focused tb rogue and let me know if it is a skill issue. better yet go do a dungeon with quilboars in it.
what level is your rogue? is it below level 100? are you tanky on high 50 dungeons or are you tanky on 75+ dungeons? level 100 wind ww druids and hota barbs are tanky on tier 80 dungeons but hate to be a deby downer but melee rogue stops being tanky at about tier 65-68
yeap… rogues are absolutely trash… just do yourself a favor… delete the rogues from the character select screen… and rock anything else. … they fact they cant gain fortify etc… is honestly just an oversight in my opinon… how does the necro gain fortify as a caster… but a rogue cant? also needs a way to generate barrier better as well… it would actually be worth playing if these two changes were implemented
if your tanking as a rogue… your doing it wrong… your son as the hota should be the tank lmfao… you got a zdps dt/tb rogue? how tf you even manage that?
Wow so many assumptions with that statement - idk where to begin other than I never said I was zdps, I just said I was tanky. You don’t even know level or gear disparity between us, you don’t know what content we’re running, you don’t know what we enjoy.
“You’re doing it wrong” only really comes into play if you’re failing at what you want to do.
