Adjustments and tweaks are fine. But if you have to completely nerf a playstyle into the ground, disable skills/aspects and gut a class just to stop the no life 100s then this game wasn’t meant for release yet.
In order to change playstyles (something I am definitely NOT against) due to nerfs than you need to give us the ability to freely change skills, transfer glyph XP, freely adjust paragon points and freely re roll gear. No cost, no punishment, no additional grinding because you decided to nuke a playstyle. Paying Blizzard to quality control test their game is bull crap. This should have been done long before launch.
I have limited play time, I really have no desire to go back and re-do content, grind for gold and spend time rerolling gear. I want to play the actual game in the limited time I have to play it…
Edit: Really should have released this game with a full armory, so many features that D3 and D2R had to fix bad game design DIDN’T make it into this game and it shows.

I agree the respec cost is total bulldung.
However, if you stop crushing item for mats but instead sell them all, you can make money fast!

Note: Price per item stops growing around lv 70, paragon reset cost grows exponentially post level 70 by ~10% (it’s bit wierdly jumping, but minor differences, above rounding error) each level. Price per node at lv 100 is ~60k. That’s 13.5M for board alone.
Rare item will stay at average of 22k gold, since it is capped at IP 816, however even NM 45+ tends to drop lower valued loot.
For a single experiment (reset board twice to return to original build) you are looking for quite many loading screens between loot and vendor.
Personally it seems that IP 816+ will be unlocked with first season as we already seen IP 1k items from various testing phases that should yield more gold (together with higher tier jewels that were teased recently), still tho, high level reset price is imho nonsense and doesn’t really fit game design, itemization and rate of balance passes (which is awesome btw)
What about rolling affix on gear, that gets too expensive too fast as well. How many inventory clears do you need to roll 5x. I saw millions after just 1 click on a piece, not sure on mechanics.
Even without monkey tweaks to classes its expensive. Now you add in their inability to launch a finished product since diablo 2 LOD and you get an enigma not worth messing with…

You are better off finding a new piece of gear to imprint on at that point. The enchant costs get insane after the 6th roll. D2 was a master piece i feel like d4 can be as well we just need to give it time.

Rerolling gear is expensive, but I can understand that, it’s power growth and layer of itemization. Tho given how many stats can roll and in what ranges it is pretty expensive indeed. Respec cost, basic service, to try new builds, often just for fun, is absolutely bonkers. There is 0 chance I am paying several millions to spec into different spec because I got new unique for it. Like I would like to, just for fun, for more diversity play you know… but not over this gold cost. As I said, respec cost doesn’t fit design of this game at all.
You are better off making a new character to play another build if gold is too much for you to sink.
