The problem is you misunderstand fun

Most of the haters are desperate for validation, people enjoying are literally doing the opposite, invalidating their opinion. Effectively telling them they are wrong.

Feel free to link where I did that.

Not those exact words but that’s what you do… only you are more hateful and deranged about it since you crashed and burned in PoE2.

Crashed and burned, is that supposed to trigger me?

And stating an opinion is not presenting it as fact just because you don’t say IMHO.

Lastly, you can try to paint it as deranged all you want, none of you have been able to prove anything I said wrong. So you just use ad hominems like you are doing right now. PoE 2 crafting is far more random than D4’s and more likely to brick what you are making. Every argument you all make against that statement boils down to “nuh uh” with no evidence to back it up. Whereas my statements in previous threads pointed out how random the orb system really is and how much farming form orbs you will need to do.

Agreed, and neither side is wrong, nor will they convince the other side to suddenly join their cause. So then it becomes a question of, well if things aren’t going to change in the way people want them to, what are your plans moving forward?

Using ‘your’ in a general sense, not ‘you’ in particular.

Honestly, the forum needs better moderation. Start removing the people who are obviously never going to be happy. They would bleat about censorship, but who cares. This obviously doesn’t mean all negative opinions, you onow the ones.

If they can’t move on, help them.

Agreed and I would never touch an arpg that was just D2 in a different wrapper. I played that game already. Neither D4 nor POE2 should ever be called a D2 clone. They are isometric arpgs that play completely different.

People who want D2 with a different coat of paint need to stick with D2R and stop fighting devs who want to try something new or push their ARPG in a different direction from what was considered fun 25 years ago. Ive seen it on the forums for both games and its tiresome. Its like a bunch of geezers from the 70s complaining that they cant buy bell bottoms from the new clothing store.

Exactly. Even though I am old enough to be part of the “Old Guard” I honestly can’t wait until our voices pass from gaming. The ‘good old days’ is a ghost that just needs to vacate.

Lol, you might be the least constructive serial poster in the entire thread.

Worried you might get shown the door?

No, kid, I’m not.

LOL, I’m very likely older than you…kid.

You only need to read the first few lines, yes, it was designed monetary-systems first to make it long term financially viable (or as they like to label it, live-service). This single headedly killed the game. You have to make a good game first THEN find ways to monetise without spoiling the game, but Blizz is run by suits these days not developers like it used to be in the good old days.

100% this. As I’ve always said, people could always make their own game, but the only people who have are the devs of LE. They made a game they personally wanted to play. I admire and respect the hell out of them for following through.

Oh that cinches it, there is one group that uses “yikes”. Teen / tween leftwing internet activists.

What cause do you think I’m an activist for?

FUN
…according to a room full of suits from the marketing department.

I could literally say the same about you. Desperate for validation while wallowing in you sunk cost fallacy regarding D4. The player base has largely invalidated your opinion by dipping.
