The Pit is a waste of time

I think the idea of grinding for MW mats is good, but eventually as you find items with stats that are better for your build you have to farm lower Pit levels and its just a waste time. There should be some kind of trickle up effect where you can still get lower level mats from higher level pits.

Whaaaat?? You dont enjoy this Mobile design???

What makes it a “mobile design”?

Eh… you can convert neathiron to lower tier 3 to 1, so a run of pit 61 is 20 neathiron = 60 ingolith = 180 obducite…
You can bump your gear to masterwork easily. Visit the alchemist and transmute.

I mean the whole game is a giant time waster. These types of games are never ending, just depends on when the player gets bored and waits until the next season or just stops playing entirely.

I do believe you can go to the armorer and break the item your replacing down and get refunded the mats to masterwork it again.

I guess thats “fair” if you have extra neathiron to burn…which kinda means at some point you’re farming neathiron just to convert and then also sinking gold into that…

It costs literally nothing to convert. The cost is so low its negible.
And yes, the higher the pit you can clear, the more you can transmute and speed masterwork your gear leaving you only running for neathiron.

Isnt a post in this forum generalizing your overall opinion of the game as a response to something specific also a waste of time?

Just as your response and posts are exactly the same as well. So yes, we’re all in the same boat. The difference is if you’re enjoying yourself. Time wasted doing something you enjoy is time well spent, otherwise why do it?

Like I said, my guy…I guess thats fair. But, its still a waste of time. If I have to use neathiron to upgrade, it doesnt make sense to waste it on converting until I have all my gear 12/12. Which means, as I find new gear, I have to farm lower level Pits. I think at Pit 60 where you get the max ingolith, you can at least get 10% of that value in obs.

But if you are clearing pit levels the secondary reason is the stygian stone drop, so you are aiming higher depth which means more neathiron. So how is that a problem to masterwork, this sounds more like a you problem.
With neathiron conversion you can have all your gear 8/12 which also increases you clearance chances.

Only they’re not the same. But, I hear you bro…preach on.

You can just exchange the higher level mats for lower ones at the potion guy (there is a gold charge but it is not much relatively), or break down the MW’ed gear you no longer need and it will return mats by tier.

Cmon, guy. Your position was in good standing until you gotta come with “you problem”.

Well your argument is lower tiered materials at higher end pits, which seems rather pointless since we can convert materials to their lower tiered counterparts at a 1 to 3 ratio. At this point you might as well just ask for the higher tiered pits to drop more Neathiron rather then drop Ingolith and/or Obducite along side.

I would rather get 5 more pieces of Neathiron, then trickles of lower tiered materials at higher tiered Pits.

its clear you didnt even know you could transmute to lower tiers.
Neathiron conversion is the natural flow, now if you want to clear pit 30 or pit 60 endless times, thats your choice. Dont complain that you find its a drag.
A better alternative exists.

It makes 9x more sense. You can get an item from 0/12 to 4/12 in one 61 pit run. You do 10 runs and that’s basically a fresh set of gear to 4/12 way faster than doing lower level runs.

Sounds to me like you’re wasting your own time not that the pit is a waste of time.

This will always be slower and more inefficient. It only takes 12 neathiron to make 108 obducite to get the first 4 ranks of MW. If you are dropping to lower level pits to farm the lower mats, you are quite literally wasting your own time for no reason.

My problem with the pit is that it gets boring and repetitive very quickly. Wish there were other activities to get masterwork materials from to break the monotony.
