The performance is so bad I want a refund

Title.

I don’t understand how anybody could even consider playing HC this season when you’ve got a 100% chance of massive frame drops when you change zones in the open world.

Wtaf, Blizzard. Did you even test this? Am I paying to be your beta tester?

10h in, I want off this ride.

Why would you want to play HC when you know these issues exist from day one. If you’re glutton for punishment, you have achieved it my friend.

I don’t play HC, I’m saying with the performance being so bad this season I can’t imagine anybody who does having a good time.

Even when I close the game there’s a significant chance it locks my whole system up and I have to hard reboot.

some rage post… natural… random…
FPS drop, death in HC, there’s a point, but refund for that? nããã
you wouldn’t dare

Bro, get a better PC.

I had a little stutter yesterday realized I didnt update my video driver. Once done everything was fixed.

95% of time its the users hardware, ISP or outdated drivers.

I always used to say the same thing since I never had issues with lag or the game bogging down FPS. Not once since day 1, when most people WERE having issues.

I dunno tho… This season seems pretty bad tbh. I hadn’t played since s6 (i think 6? maybe a lil bit of 7). This is the first time I have had issues with performance. Its not just minor fps drops either, its full on choking and lagging like heck.

Could just be an issue with my ISP server connections but… who knows.

I dono how anyone could ever play hardcore.

But there’s still some of you

Actually I don’t understand why anyones still playing this garbage GAME SC OR HC!:person_facepalming:

Something is for sure wrong with this season. I haven’t had lag issues on any others. I logged in the first day of this season and everything ran great for about 3-4 hours. Then around 5pm-6pm EST it started getting very laggy, I’m guessing when a lot more people were logging in. It also seemed to be tied to using the wardrobe in cities. That would glitch sometimes and the bad lag would kick in.

It’s gotten a lot better over the last few days. I’m only getting the occasional lag spike in cities or world boss now.

Yah no, go troll elsewhere. The issue is affecting high end rigs. I have a 5070ti and 12900k with 64GB, the game is unplayable, hordes actually runs at like 20% of the FPS you should be getting for 5 waves then runs fine? Zoning into any new zone causes 65-80% drop in frames for 20 seconds at which point your entire system is extremely unstable. Opening a game menu can cause a full system lockup.

This season was not tested, the devs should be ashamed and you should feel bad for even posting this.

It’s not, no matter what some egomaniac says. I have a high end PC. I never had performance issues like this season. I did have some DC’s early on in S7 but adjusted the VM page file and never had another issue.

I did not have any issues in S8 or with S9PTR but suddenly with the full release of S9 when porting to a new area it lags and stutters. After a few hours it gets much worse so it has to be something with the VRAM usage when loading a new area. As a software engineer it seems like it is also either packet loss or some change in packet compression/decompression. Both would be contributed to bad coding and lack of proper testing. Neither is a surprise with this team.

This is what the high post count Git Gud crowd fails to recognize. If it were a few here and there that would be something on the users end. This is widespread. I get these issues and I am relatively close to the servers compared to the rest of the world.

The more I think about it they probably reduced the data and/or server capacity as S8 progressed and didn’t think it would be an issue going into S9. As long as billing doesn’t lag all is good in their minds.

95% of the time I would agree with you, but this season is something special. My drivers are up to date, any other season my system wouldn’t even spin up the fans - this isn’t a hardware or user issue.

I have experienced zero issues this season other than some minor serverlag rubberbanding when galloping around the open world.

Windows 11. 12700K. 32GB RAM. RTX 4090. Highend Gen 5 SSD.

Everything maxed including raytracing using DLAA and 2x Framegen @ 3440*1440.

FPS between 60 and my 97 cap.

I haven’t had any issues this season. Windows 11, Samsung SSD, RTX 3060 170 fps, 150 fps in combat.
The latest Nvidia driver isn’t stable, so I’ve reverted to an older driver.

Can’t agree with that. My GF and i had never lag or stutter after changing areas. We have a very decent pc setup and a stable and good internet connection.
This is the first season, where this is happening. And it is always happening.
Drivers are up to date. UEFI up to date.

We do use cross plattform connection.

The refund thingy is bs, that is clear, but the performance issues are a thing (for some).

So you’re just here on the forums talking about a game you dont play?
