When the new add-on is released on October 8, 2024, will we have the possibility of equipping the mercenaries either with legendary, unique or Uber items. Thank you for the answer.

I imagine they will have some functionality like the D3 mercs, but we should be seeing more information as the expansion gets closer to release.
I have no doubt we’ll be able to deck them out with items of whatever we like. Assuming they meet the class restriction of course. D2 and D3 allowed us to gear our companions, this should be no different. We’ll find out more soon enough though.

Tiffany Wat said in a recent interview that the mercenaries will have skill trees. 
We will certainly have a dev live explainig stuff in the expansion. Maybe we will have a free demo weekend or something also.
