The irony of early access

Bro’s absolutely foaming at the mouth because he doesn’t have a cohesive argument to back anything up, so he’s just saying the same thing over and over in different ways.

That’s not what that means, but go off, hun lmao

I paid 8 dollars for the horse, and used the coins from that to buy the new death marker and emote and back piece.

But I also quit WoW classic recently, so with no character boosts to buy or subscription, I have extra cash to blow. Which i dont mind paying money for things and would likely buy the expensive battlepass for cosmetics.

With that said, if they insist on leaving my fav class as a trash tier that isnt super competitive for endgame, im happy to go find another game to throw money at. I skipped D3 altogether and barely played D2, so i only came to this for a change of pace based on title alone, but im okay getting back to shopping for a decent game and just cutting my losses.

Right. This title should have actually been released into early access if they needed more time to get it to a good place. It was rushed out barebones and they still had the audacity to charge people for early access to a beta pretty much.

The irony is if they had labeled it early access and called the first season “season 0” no one would have batted an eye. A lot of us would probably be excited for the future.

But no. Here’s the game, it’s ready, $70-$100 please. OH WAIT HERE’S 6200 WORDS OF PATCHES THAT ARE COMPLETE REDESIGNS OF THE GAME MECHANICS OOPS.

Yep! If I’m buying a game that is clearly labeled as early access, I’m expecting it to not be in a finished state. The problem is how deceiving Blizzard was.

Pretty sure it’s still in early access. Paid beta

I expect nothing more from Blizzard these days…

Nothing new. Lots of game are “work in progress” in today’s market. It’s really up to the buyers to decide if it’s all worth the trouble. It actually takes time to release a patch because of console certification making the process longer.

Technically, no one paid extra for early access. You got two days early by just pre-ordering the standard edition.

this is what we call “fake news”

It was clearly posted on the web site. Ask anyone that pre-ordered just the standard edition. They got their early access.

sigh… forcing me to type…

standard did not receive extra days.

deluxe and ultimate did.

sigh, please stop typing.

Nah. The only ones that gave early access were the Deluxe and Ultimate editions.

Yeah, you’re right. I was remembering it wrong…I just checked. Sorry about that. That makes two mistakes for today. I’m only allowed one more! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

LOL then don’t buy the early access version…

WTF is wrong with people.

Too much crying over nothing around here.

I got exactly what I wanted out of it which was a weekend to binge so it wasn’t gnawing at me during the work week - negative of WFH there, heh.

If I’m being honest Friday was actually much better than I had expected it to be in terms of server stability and therefore play time

Can i ask you something? You mad bro?

Why is the anticonsumer spin the consensus? You aren’t paying for early access before the release date. The release date is (surprise?) the day the game releases, and you are being artificially punished for not spending AAA price + 1/3 (for an incomplete game). Bad gamer. BAD! They are manipulating people, and they know exactly what they are doing. The industry has had psychologists on payroll for years now, and FOMO is a hell of a drug. I refused to buy early, but even still, those 5 days were an eternity.

Many have “praised” the marketing team for how they sold a beta, but if D4 released like LotR: Gollum, the hype train would’ve ground to a halt. The devs don’t get the credit they deserve for hyper-polishing the early game to coincide with the marketing push, at the expense of literally every other aspect of the game. Blizz needed good word-of-mouth, so they stole it.

“Nobody forced you to pay extra for early access.” No, but they are intentionally preying on the weak-minded, like the gambling industry does. And a few moments after you step out of the early game, you realize what you prepurchased was an IOU - one game.

No Man’s Sanctuary.
