The game keeps freezing! PS5

I launch the game and it freezes within minutes.
Delays range from 10 seconds to 5-10 minutes. It's impossible to play. Restarting the game doesn't help.

1. The game is updated.
2. Internet speed is stable at 170 MB.
3. Other games are running smoothly.
4. I cleared the console cache.
5. I restarted the router.
6. I reinstalled the game.

1 thing you have not mentioned is whether or not you are wired or on wifi, for this type of game wired is always best

You could try this as a last resort - also check you have the latest updates as there was a recent 1 in the last week.

Full Power‑Cycle (Different from a Restart)
This one solves more freezes than anything else.

  • Turn the console off
  • Unplug it for 30 seconds
  • Plug back in and launch again
    A normal reboot doesn’t clear the system-level cache the same way.

Switch Graphics Mode
PS5

  • Swap Quality ↔ Performance mode
    Rendering stalls in one mode can cause the exact long freezes you’re describing.

Platform‑Specific Fixes
PS5: Rebuild Database

  • Boot into Safe Mode
  • Select Rebuild Database
    This fixes corrupted entries that a reinstall doesn’t touch.
