The Butcher in Shrines

Yeah it’s all about clear time now, but you need to get the right pit, with the right mob density, the right endboss (Oh and no lag)…that’s over the top boring imo and pit timing it’s not even an “ingame” endgame, ladders are on third party sites anyway

I don’t consider pit timing as a proper D4 challence since that doesn’t even exist in the game, we don’t even have a “Cleared in - this time-” feature at the end of runs, even a small timer for every best run near the corresponding pit at the level selections screen would be nice i think, like you select a pit level and it shows you your personal best time, something like that

If you are not getting the right mob and boss, you still can complete it with longer time and get the obols, XP and high chance of multi ancestral drop.

Nothing is end game content in D4, there are many activities in D4 is boring include spamming the blood maiden over and over.

Nothing is a challenge in D4 by your definition.

Clear Pit 150 sub 3 minutes is about strategy, not just about damage. Which you would not understand as you have not cleared the pit 150 before. There is big different between watching YT and doing things yourself.

As i said, timed ladder isn’t even a D4 feature, it’s more like something players had to come up with in order to invent some type of endgame challenge. You know a game is bad (Or at the end of the road) when people have to come up with their own ways of making it still worth playing and not too boring

One of the objective of computer game is provide a platform to player to make it their playground. There is nothing wrong player come up with their own ways of making it interesting.

In Elden Ring and Baldur Gate 3, players always come out their own innovative way to complete the end game like beat the end game boss with wood club or sausage. It does not stop those game in dominating all game awards.

Yeah, those game dominated game awards (And that’s not D4 case, not even close) because they already were good games and people just wanted to keep playing them, pit timing is more like a way not to get bored, since there is basically nothing to do until next season

Also elden ring and baldur’s gate are not true arpg games like diablo and they’re supposed to be way shorter by design, diablo games are meant to be repetitive BUT still fun to play. They missed the fun part here

Even Blizard game director already said Elden Ring is Action Role Playing Game. This is just your own definition that some game is true ARPG and some game is not.

All activities in D4 is like a way not to get bored, it is still basically nothing to do at the start of every season. Maybe is time for you to move on.

All the game can be played repetitively include pac man and street fighters. How to make the repetitive part fun is up to you. If the dev cant make the repetitive part fun for you, is time to play other game which meet your repetitive requirement.

Is elden ring a live service arpg game like D4? You know, those games meant to keep players involved all the time by always giving players new content to not getting bored…

Live service game is just a model game company milk players for mtx. It has nothing to do with ARPG.

Division 2 is a Live Service Game, it is definitely not an ARPG.

Most Live Service game eventually run out of content and get bore.

So Diablo 4 isn’t a live service game then? Strange, because it’s marketed as such

The only really live thing i see here is the ingame shop

I didn’t say D4 isn’t a Live Service Game.

On the russian server the Butcher always drops 2 runes:
[WAT] [GAR] :cocktail:

I rather not to open any of the bags, wait till Blizzard buff the gears inside them first. Meanwhile I am fine with those random drop on kill.

I don’t even press shrines since they’re mainly useless anyway. The last thing I want to bother about in a nightmare rift is the Butcher

You know how sometimes three goblins pop out?
I would love to see that but with the Butcher lol.
I wish this was in the open world so I could kite a Butcher to an unsuspecting person and then get them all entangled lol.

I’m a bad person Muahahahaha.

:smiling_imp:

It is about the boss mats, nothing to do with shrines.

I’ve had a double butcher shrine. Maybe 3 can happen. Would be cool

Maybe I’ll take a break from the xp grind and run some dungeons!

Butcher does fit a halloween theme but make it super cool like the gelatinous blue gob thing from D3. So butcher dies and makes 3 mid sized butchers and then these make 3 small ones and then these make 3 mini ones and all of them drop loot. Thats cool!

That. Would. Be. AWESOME!

Little mini Butchers in squeaky voices yelling “Fresh Meat!”

Now I am reminded when Ash from Army of the Dead was attacked by the Mini-Ashes lol.
