Yep. This is a continuing hard pass for me. I cant believe they have the audacity to call that a roadmap. Nearly half the things on there we are already experiencing and playing.
Abandon this game, start over. Get to work on Diablo V and find competent passionate AARPG development and management crew that has all of the tools and history to bring us the best of the last three Diablo games (D1 for its adult horror theme and RPG elements, D2 for its class build system, skill diversity, and single player end game character investment, and D3 rune system as additional modifiers end game rush seasonal content for seasonal realms, and transmog system (D4 transmog system sucks and is buggy) ) , bring them together with additional innovation, lengthy pre release feedback updates, and meaningful content players want with taking good andbad points with some humility from other AARPGs and look for what works and what they can do better. Bring back Chris Metzen to fix the lore ffs. Get rid of the cash shop or keep it limited and reasonably priced.
Too much to ask i guess.

Iâll say this one more time-I donât understand not just keeping in some of the stuff that was received well or even just added more flavor over these 2 years. Itâs why I partially feel you guys have to rework so much besides the obvious reasons.
Some of the powers could go somewhere besides gear. If you add popular witch powers, put them somewhere else.
Then take S3-You sort of did pet stuff with mercs. Personally I preferred vaults greatly to NM dungeons, should have kept them in. Malphas could have stayed and just remove the tuning stones or find a way to design a system around it.
If you didnât scrap so much after one season, the game would feel way more robust and playerâs would feel like they had more agency on where they were going to go to achieve something.
You guys still donât have enough (PoE2 frankly feels like it has way more in maps, especially now) and you put way too much on timers.
Dark Citadel would have been great if you listened to players instead of dying on the coop hill. You put so much stock into it and yet I imagine itâs pretty dead at this point. This could have also allowed the loot pool to be more spread out with target farming (which sounds like youâre undoing in S8 tbh).
Lastly-You guys flip flop way too much. The game started out tedious, then it became trivial, now youâre going back to tedious. Thereâs 100âs of examples of this that have been posted since release.
This roadmap just says to me you canât make up your mind, and basically are spending yet ANOTHER year redoing things rather than adding new ones.
You guys really shouldnât be getting outdone by indie studios and EA games and you very much are.

I wrote a response to this but sorry to say it appears to have vanished. There was nothing controversial in it as far as Iâm aware. How puzzling.
I didnt play d3 as a main game until like season 17. Looks like we are on track for a liitle sooner start for d4. Im happy to play Elden Ring; err poe2 and LE until they get the competitive aspects rocking here.
A clan stash would be sweet! A way to share gear with each other and a lot of tinkering could be done with different builds. I hope that you could put in masterwork gear and mythics for clans to share but that is probably a pipe dreamâŚ

would love that too. Currently we use our discord for this to exchange items we consider good, but wont use ourselfs. Like we all keep build definining aspects, and uniques for the builds we play, incase someone else wants to try it.
yea thats pretty much not going to happen i think. Thinking about RMT, this could be way too easily abused, sadly.
Mods here are like Reddit mods. If you post something they dont like, they will flag you, delete the post and ban you. I have seen posts that should have been flagged and removed still here but i post something that is factual, POOF, gone and i get a 7 day post ban.

Seen that called out a couple of times. My take of it was to fill out the view for the year. Fluff I guess.
Hordes are not the optimal way to farm obducite. Tribute of Refinement are, by a long shot. Full clear floor 1-2 then quickly check all corners of 3 for goblins (goblin is almost guaranteed Refinement drop). Do this on 4P rota and you can do it infinitely.
His wording in the answer to the paladin question made me think itâs going to be something similar to the paladin but more edgelord or a new class that they think we will think is awesome. âI think weâre going to surprise people with what we have in storeâ.
So there are 3 things in total featured in each season - one of them is always âpowersâ and the other one is earnable pet?
Like srsrly a pet each season is the highlight of the roadmap??? ;DD other than that I do not see any end end game mentioned so there will be none only reworks of current mechanics and all hands on deck to make something of the new expansion to make the sales with the paladin yupiii

Is there another vision of what endgame could be instead that you could point to? Or that others have pointed to?
