This outrage was childish at its core. This is a live service game and nerfs buffs was always in the plan.
We can agree that how they handle this patch was stupid and I agree with that, but the nerfs was needed, The defense nerfs and damage nerfs was needed.
And MORE is on the way both buffs and more nerfs. Are you going to get upset about the nerfs in the future?

No. They’re fixing it by adding other stuff and nerfing other stuff in line. That’s not reverting or rolling back the patch, neither is it increasing player power back.

They most definitely did though. They just released a hotfix bringing the power lvl of NMD100 down to NMD70 just to make some people feel better.
They also promised Call of Duty loadouts, higher loot drops across the board, free respec at all times, even faster 50-100 leveling.
On the contrary, nothing was mentioned on bugged builds and one shot mechanics that trivialise essentially all the content in the game.
So, how exactly they didn’t cave in?

No one seems to understand math anymore. Our education system really needs to be looked into. Here’s how math works and why they rolled the patch back without “rolling the patch back”.
Pre 1.1.0a
1000 Mob health / 100 player damage = 10 Hits to Kill
Post 1.1.0a
1000 Mob health / 60 player damage = 17 Hits to Kill
Post Hotfix
600 Mob health / 60 player damage = 10 Hits to Kill
Looks like the results are the exact same as they were before patch 1.1.0a to me.

Exactly, and many of the other changes they made are being GRADUALLY reverted.
Fixes to the game is not caving in.
The cave in I am talking about is rolling back the patch to pre season 1 state.
Balance changes are going to happen no matter what. This is a service game, are the side that acted childish going to take a victory for each buff in the future now. Saying, hey see! We were right because they buffing so and so.
That is crazy.

All this crying and whining, and I never noticed a damn thing that actually mattered in minute to minute gameplay. Neither did the vast majority of people who play this game. My Sorceress melts mobs leveling up. Melts them. By the time I get to high-end endgame activities, they will have been buffed. And no, I don’t care about the Eternal Realm.

Sure keep the vuln nerf, even though it literally did nothing but lower overall dps. You will still stack vuln.
But for the love of god, why is it going to take 2-3 weeks to fix barb and sorc? You broke them with this asinine patch!

Agree, I am more upset with how people gave the feedback and acting.
Now they are so crazy, that they think because buffs are coming that means they are right. These people need help.
So this is what it all comes down to. You White knighted for Blizz, they lost, the critics won, and now you’re salty.

Do you guys ever get tired of using that phrase?? You use it over, and over, and over and over. It’s like you are legally required to use the term “white knight” every 10 minutes or someone will come confiscate your assets.

How the community acted is the only issue I have.
Since you are new to live service games. Understand that in the future more nerfs and buffs will happen that does not mean how you acted was called for, and required.
