Tempering is god awful, remove the reset limit

it wouldnt be so bad if we get to use the reset scroll once a week on bricked items to reset them again…

atleast you would have motivation to not just end the season on a brick situation

I agree there should be no limit on how many temper scrolls you can use on a given item. Lower the scroll droprate if you must but you should be able to make that jackpot 3 GA item useful with enough farming put into it.

Nah. I like the tempering system. We’re only 2 weeks into the season, why do you want to finish it so fast?

Say you don’t understand the law of averages without saying you don’t understand the law of averages.

If I say “Dachsunds are generally an aggressive breed of dog” and someone says, “MY dachsund isn’t aggressive!!!” that means they don’t understand statistics or the law of averages, or hyperbole.

hi. that’s you.

But go ahead and add more “cry laugh” emotes as if you’re actually right. That means you’re SUPER right, right?

I’m not right… I’m laughing at the fact that you are one of many players who cry on the forums about things they don’t like… hoping for change.

This game is easy af man. As said you’re just one of those people who wants perfection every roll… and when you don’t get it you come here and cry about it.

Tell us more about how you want to be spoon fed maximum rolls for free… because actually rolling dice and accepting the variance that comes with it is beyond your comprehension.

Expressing concern and complaints that they LITERALLY ask people to submit is not “crying” on the forums.

You not liking what somebody said doesn’t mean what was said is 1) wrong 2) “crying” 3) diminished in value, no matter how many laugh emotes you fling around.

If you try, you might figure out that other people have valid opinions about this game besides yours.

Takes effort, though.

Anyway, you can have the last word though. Seems like you need it. Go off.

I only read the last line… keep crying bro. These threads are good entertainment at work.

I for one hope Blizz doesn’t give it to you whiners and make tempering a “choose what stat you want and it’s automatically max roll” because if they do that they might as well make a vendor that sells 4GA gear for every slot.

RNG is part of the game. You should embrace the randomness… but you won’t… because you want hand held spoon fed EZmode.

I’m out.

No… They are whining. The only thing I have bricked in the last four seasons is when I already have a good piece and I push it trying to get something better. Noobs and causal’s are the one’s complaining. With the current system of tempering and masterworking it is possible to outfit a build where you can come close to the streamers and otherwise professional players.

Instead of crying most people should listen and learn how to play the game. It’s not the game that needs fixing it is the players…

Free max roll of desired stat is one of very few ways they could actually make tempering worse than it is.

RNG is fine, low rolls are life, but this system is pewp. Yes I can go farm three or four one GA items and get *acceptable-rolls on an item and not care when i brick and salvage the fails, but finding a perfect 3 GA item is supposed to be a huge win and this system constantly turns those Ws to Ls

It is bad design pure and simple. Always handing people everything exactly as they want it is equally bad in the opposite direction.

If you think i want EZ mode please clarify how the solution i put forward on this thread is easy mode. If anything its more difficult to get what you want but also impossible to destroy a godly item… a fair tradeoff in my book.

Not everyone who hates tempering is a clown who doesn’t get RNG or ARPGs, some of us just know bad systems when we see them

In S7 by some divine miracle i got 4 yes 4 three GA staffs with the exact stats i needed. ALL FOUR of them failed to get a single roll of a needed affix for the build to function, so in spite of several hundred hours of dedicated farming to get that staff and actually getting the drop four times, i ended the season with a 1 ga staff with a mid roll of a required affix and a max roll of a less preferred damage type for the build. This is essentially why i did not play S8 until the last few days of the season. I dont believe you should just be handed anything, but i do believe if you grind like a maniac, and manage to beat the odds to get a rare drop, then you shouldn’t have your wins ripped away by a crap item upgrade system

  • For me, acceptable rolls means the affix or affixes that are required by the build are present, and preferably no affixes that are a wasted slot for the build present - if people have thresholds of needed stats they feel are required for the rolls to be acceptable, I agree with your take… no business complaining if it is self inflicted… but i’m not sure where you get the idea that 90% of bricks come from this
