At first i didn’t think it was that bad but as the season progresses i see now that i am completely blocked from progression because of it. Triple GA with the right affixes can take weeks to find. Then bricked by FIVE ROLLS of the same affix when tempering. This is retarded. Its seasons. Its over in a couple months and I’m spending all my time bricking items instead of getting to the point where i can try the uber bosses or progress pit or gauntlet. This is breaking all the “endgame activities” by halting progression and inflating the fun parts of grinding by artificially increasing the time it takes to gear a character properly. Devs…do you want this to be a game where everyone is forced to RMT to progress? Because thats what you’ve created.
Its really rare to find a good 2GA or 3GA item, sometimes when you find one its TRASH Poison resist and Life Per Second.
So when you find a Good item, you can still brick it!!! ffs
What if they made it so temper counts reset after a week.
That sounds kind of silly but even that would be better than the current system.
100% it should stay, but they need to put some work on it. E.g. same temper can’t be rolled twice, every temper should have same chances of rolling, not like some classes have 3 others 6 and etc.
How would that help? You then risk even more if you “brick” an item.
Time is more valuable than money for most people.
Some people’s time is worth more. That is why RMT exists

Blizzard gives us a way to get 5/5 items sooner than just through a drop and we’ve come to complain that the path is isn’t fast/easy enough.
The system is better then before. People will always complain no matter what. Ppl who RMT are still going to RMT but maybe they will end up spending more. I really do feel the majority who complain are just the credit card warriors who dropped $X and they didnt get what they wanted.

Also needs a way to just reset the temper once you’ve maxed the item out. RNG is fine but there needs to be ways to mitigate the worst aspects of RNG. Allowing us to fix an item’s bad affix roles by redoing the entire process does that.
Disagree that the limit needs to be removed. RNG (can’t roll the same stat twice, ability to keep existing roll if desired) and categories (categories that are skill-specific and not 4 different skills) need to be looked at and tweaked but removing the limit would make it just way too quick to get items with 5/5 perfect stats. It would negatively affect the entire system and item hunt in the game.
GAs are meant as chase items, not something you are guaranteed to have in every slot.
I agree. I’ve gotten a few 5/5 items now that I would still be chasing if I were waiting for a drop of the same equivalence. Odd’s are, I’d never see even one in a whole season.
i don’t think that any reseting is a good solution, reseting is always a pseudo random, it gives you feeling that you will eventually get affixes that you needed by puting more time in game and you keep playing this game not because it’s good and you are interested in it, but because you want to get your GG item.
Either you should freely choose what affixes you need to temper or it should be fully random. Imho reseting = timegating. That’s why i think that masterworking is an awfull solution too tbh.
