I got to T8 with an ice barrage rouge homebrewed build its really not even about meta or not. Its about adapting or dropping certain abilities on your bar or swapping aspects in order to survive or do more damage…the entire game is based off of multipliers. All you need to do is firgure out the best multipliers for your class and build and then most can do pretty good. every class has certain skill that are multipliers and you must take advantage of them somtimes to get more damage. When you’re looting my best advice is to save any item with a +3 to deffensive ability or +3 to atk ability because if you ever need to make a quick switch to get through harder content or down a boss faster its alot easier to do
