Hi Blizzard Team,
First of all, thank you for your ongoing work on Diablo IV. As a passionate player, I’d like to propose a set of gameplay and quality-of-life enhancements that I believe could significantly improve the overall experience, especially in the endgame.
PET SYSTEM SUGGESTIONS
-
Glyph Auto-Pickup
- Pets should automatically collect Glyphs and similar endgame resources to reduce tedious clicking.
-
Integrated Item Filter
- A built-in system allowing pets to auto-salvage unwanted gear (e.g., blue and yellow items), fully customizable by the player.
-
Passive Pet Skills
- Unlockable traits like increased pickup radius, faster collection, or bonuses to materials gained.
-
Buffs to the Character
- Pets could passively boost the player (e.g., +movement speed, minor stat boosts), similar to companion systems in other ARPGs.
MOUNT SYSTEM SUGGESTIONS
- Passive Mount Skills
- Mounts could offer minor bonuses such as increased travel speed, reduced cooldowns, or mount-only perks for open world navigation.
UNIQUES / ASPECTS / GLYPHS
-
More Unique Items per Class
- More build-defining items, such as a Diablo 3-style Amulet of Johan that pulls enemies toward a target.
-
Account-Wide Glyphs
- Glyphs should be unlocked and leveled once per account, not per character, to reduce repetitive grind and encourage alt play.
PARAGON BOARD IMPROVEMENTS
-
Stat Display
- Show the stat bonuses provided by each Paragon board without needing to manually calculate.
-
Glyph Level Display
- Make Glyph levels visible directly on the board for easier tracking.
-
Import/Export Paragon Builds
- Add a feature to import pre-made builds or share them between players.
-
Unlimited Paragon Progression
- Allow progression past level 200 with meaningful stat boosts or cosmetic rewards.
-
More Passive Bonuses and XP Scaling
- Introduce more passives, farming options, and make XP progression viable in late-game.
WEAPON SYSTEM IDEAS
-
Weapon Leveling
- Weapons should level up as they are used, growing stronger with the player.
-
Weapon-Specific Passives
- Unlock powerful traits tied to individual weapons based on usage and upgrades.
-
Mastery, Gem Sockets, and Upgrades
- Introduce systems for weapon mastery, socketing gems, and evolving weapons through crafting.
-
Level 100 Weapon Milestones
- Reaching max level on a weapon could unlock seasonal rewards, unique dungeons, or crafting materials for Sets, Aspects, or Uniques.
QUALITY OF LIFE & SEASONAL DEPTH
-
More Seasonal Goals
- Expand endgame seasonal content and add more loot chase elements.
-
Progressive Unlocks
- Avoid front-loading everything at the start of the season; build up power over time.
-
True Power Fantasy
- Let players feel really powerful by the end of the season through earned progression.
-
Player Housing
- Introduce customizable hideouts that provide passive bonuses, stash, crafting stations, and cosmetic upgrades.
Thanks for reading! I hope some of these ideas resonate with the development direction of Diablo IV. The foundation is strong, and these additions could take it to the next level.
