It might very well be because I’m super rusty atm but I got one shotted on the Realmwalker event then Undercity and Legion before Torment I.
I’m I just supposed to stick to Helltides/Whispers until Torment difficulty?
I do make sure to take care of my resistances, armor & hp.
Any help or criticism is welcome.

Stay in Normal or Hard difficulties until you have 750IP gear in every slot (preferably life on every piece).
I guess it depends on the class you are playing.
I’ve been playing SB (yes shame on me
) because I wanted to try it. Besides being Op, I really liked it’s dynamics, movement, and the multiple interactions among the spirits you choose.
Based on that, I would say stick to hard until you have 700ish equipment. Temper and run the aspects which can provide damage reduction. Then go to level 4 until you teach 60. Start working your way up in pits and move to T1.
It helped me a lot using those unique boot that give resistance and cooldown reduction.
Having said that, I already killed 3 characters. Currently at P230, but moved to SC to work out my build.
Appreciate the replies guys, I’m kinda bummed out Expert difficulty is pointless in HC cause it makes the fight really technical & enjoyable instead of mobbing through canon fodder until 750IP gear but then you get a boss that one shots you randomly, no fun.
You can run expert and penitent leveling to 60 in HC. I’ve done it with a Druid, Sorcerer, Spiritborn, and am working on a Rogue and Necro.
But you can’t play like it’s season 5 anymore. With the stat squish there’s no forgiveness in the elite/boss fights. Plus they took away our Rubies for Health.
My recommendation is put +HP tempers on everything you can… helm, chest, pants, rings, and amulet. Yellow items aren’t worth a different temper if you die while wearing them. At first the tempers are lame, +20, etc. but they add up. Eventually you get the Rare or Legendary temper and it’s a hefty 120-141 per item. +600 life makes a huge difference when you’d normally only have 500 or 600.
Welcome to Season 6… oh, and when you get 95%-97% into the mainline quest be prepared… there’s a nasty one shot kill mechanic in the quest fight. It’s taken down many HC players.
