Stop tempering hazard pls

Here is a D4 joke.

How do you if your unique is going to bricked before looking at it?
It will have 3 or 4 GAs

i mean, i really enjoy poe2, but damn, yea, that game is nothing for someone who considers d4 punishing. never played poe1 myself as i considered the complexity annoying. i think they did a solid job so far there to make it “newcomer friendly”.

But as you said, it makes many of the complaints here… cute

Yeah, it really is. There’s wars being fought in various locations on this planet today, right now. And the biggest thing you’ve got is bricking items in a video game that gives you multiple chances.

So… yeah. A bit of a charmed life, no?

actually important to keep in mind at times. especially now.

but we are also here to not think of these things <3

It’s like watching my grandkids loosing it when I do not get them a pizza in addition to popcorn and candy at the movies.

I would argue that the war is a waste of time and life compared to bricking an item in D4, but I know what you meant. Still strange that humans allow old men to throw young lives away for their own personal agendas.

not gonna lie, id lose it as well, even as an adult man. when im at the cinema i want popcorn, nachos and icecream.

Saying “some of you people” is not the same as saying “You people”. Admittedly I could have used “posters” but then all the non-posters might have gotten offended.

i doubt that. i think people who dont post are getting offended by that. theres no need to worry.

That literally makes no sense and I went to skool and everything.

You always find a contrarian point of view that seems to defy “fun”.

The current Tempering system just is not fun. If the goal is to allow customization, it needs to be deterministic. Having RNG customization is bonkers. Progression in Diablo 4 seems really weird in that it feels like you are constantly taking side-grades with the layers of RNG going on.

Having the only means to progress be via gambling is not fun. The vast majority of the playerbase would agree with this sentiment if nothing else but the sheer amount of complaints to Tempering.

It seems like most of the players are on the same page what they want. They want loot to feel good and to not have to gamble and worry about an item bricking before you can be excited for an item (and by excited I mean more so not completely defeated). At best, you have BiS items maybe adding a couple of Pit Levels their build can clear which in the grand scheme of things is not very noticeable.

Been like that since pre-release. Occultist says hello.

It was even like that in D2. Hello, Charsi!
D3 had Enchanting.

eventually my fun in arpgs differs from yours?

why play a genre then that is know for progress behind rng? (which, d4, is absolutely easy on, you can literally do everything, even you have have the worst temper, and mastworking luck)

this becomes old by now. sorry if i sound annoyed, but it is indeed annoying. you have absolutely NO clue what “most” of the players want. prove me wrong and feel free to share your statistics.

Do me a favor tho and dont share some steam charts about d4 and poe.

you want loot to feel good.

loot can be adjusted, and id say thats a good thing, no? actually a thing i got to like about poe2, just not to this extend of course.

eventually we let d4 and poe2 learn from each other, and dont have pseudo forum game developers design a game. We are talking about certain foundations of an arpg, and yea, i doubt they will change that.

on a friendly note, you shouldnt feel defeated ever about items. in worst case add me. i always keep stuff in my chest for people.

For me in the best arpg Is huge combinations between passives, skills crafting And gear for all season. We can test again And again something new. But this tempering blocking this system.we can’t test becose we failed. One time i Want test something And i need 2 right temper And i Broked 5 weapons And when we need more items like that ,IT Is anoying . Testing replaced looking for gear again And again .when we can’t choose tempers, they can keep our old temper like in enchament ,then we can use all our attempts

If you are “testing”, just use any item. The affixes on the item really won’t matter for testing if you’re truly testing Tempers.

Does +30% skill size really need a test? Maybe. But you don’t need a 4GA uber item to test it.
Does +4 to a Passive really need a test? Again, you can use a junk item to test what a +4 skill to your build does.

Sorry, I don’t buy the “just testing” line. No, be honest about it; you know what Tempers you desire already, and simply want both on an item, 100% of the time.

This is not a sandbox game with a cheat mode. youll have to live with the fact, that no matter how much more casual d4 will become eventually, you might not get what you want to “test” your build.

its tough i know.

Absolutely Not.

You want people playing this game with perfect gear/stats?
Imagine people running around with everything maxed because of Unlimited attempts by using scrolls they can farm.

This bleep’ing game is easy enough already, let’s not make it to where a 5 year old can play.
It’s an RNG based game, and if you don’t get what you want then Loot Hunt More, it’s what this game is known for, it’s what diablo in general is known for.

lol at these nerds and the foolish idea of 4GA with max roll perfect affixes as an easily attainable thing for every build and slot.

Talk about casual entitlement.

Perfection is the enemy of good.
Nothing in this game demands it anyway.

I test things with trash items. You can absolutely test it to see how big an ability will get, or what it does when you add in X Aspect.

The numbers? They just go higher when you add more stats. And… we know that already. Nothing to really test there.

and when you got a rough clue about how damage works. and if we are being honest, its not giga complicated. the only super weird thing is the masterworking on + skills really.

did you try maxrolls buildplanner yet btw?
