So i am watching and playing the ptr . Still i see millions of damage. Plz nerf the multipliers of gear and other things also 100x … 1 million should be a nice aim for top end damaga
yes it seems that yet again even with the new stats, the dmg gets out of hand for most classes. They need to implement them better.
Even with all the mythics and every piece of gear maxed out, No matter the class i have not seen my damage in the millions. Now if that is happening it must be a bug with something.
I have a PTR Rogue, With over 50% crit chance and over 1000% crit damage All matserworked and 62% bonus damage reduction, And he does not hit anywhere near a million damage.
Check the forum for pit bosses clearance in the ptr and you will see that people are doing billions of dmg. you must be doing something wrong. Is it your first with rogue?
1000% crit damage is literally 1 glyph… You’re definitely doing something wrong.
PS: if you equip 750 ilvl shard of verathiel, moonrise and adaptability, with normal 600-700ip gear, every single one of your basic attacks will be doing 1m damage per crit.
Ok so, I’m playing this character naturally, Meaning I do not have maxed out glyphs or top tier gear. How am i supposed to get a feel of things if i just have everything maxed out? I’m looking at this from a realisitc point of view. Most of us will never get what people have in the PTR so if we start yelling OP what will things be like for the majority of us?
you underestimate youself. You need 4,5-5 hours (6 h max if you take the dog for a walk) to reach lvl 60 and then start the endgame. By end of first week of the game, mind you, you will have access to most of the good gear, so the ptr test with that equipment feels very realistic i think.
i leveled up my first glyph to legendary using one of the worst druid builds before cheat vendor was introduced, using mostly 540 legacy gear and having other glyphs at 10 lvl, so i dont really know if not farming PIT is good and natural approach.
lets be honest even with trash gear 750 on all slots which will be achievable w/o effort, u can hit for enough. You are building your char wrong, thats the problem, nothing else. So please dont say u cant hit for millions when u actually can very easiliy by stacking the right glyphs/aspects and picking the right passives.
I’m using what i have on live. So i can get a feel of things to come when the transistion happens.
My luck with getting decent gear has not been the best. So i might be looking at this a little skewed aswell.
I have built my rogue to be able to survive most anything. Yeah, I know not the norm but i don’t like dieing. I will admit I’m still learning this type of Rogue as i played a wow rogue for years. Big difference. My fear is, When Blizzard Nerfs they nerf hard. I don’t want a class i enjoy to be unplayable I’m not some expert gamer just someone who has played for many years but I’m not a numbers guy.

Yeah, I know i slipped a little. And maybe I’m thinking too much like a pvp player too. That is pretty much what i played in wow on my Rogue.
thats not a bad attitude, building more def then neccesary and then adjust, is how u play hc. And even in SC i do that sometimes. But i always do some math(some real, and some napkin to check if it really pans out)
so ur crying someone made a good build and you want to nerf it by 100x since ur build is crap and can’t do it? if your crying this much ur just a campaign player and not a endgame player remember this is a ptr where you make gear how you want ur not gonna have 4 ga mythicals in all gear slots and it will take a while to lvl a glyph up and you won;t have 200 para points on a new season so stop crying and realise a ptr is made to be broken

Those people managed to push these numbers before the loot vendor got in.
Those people managed to do it in 2 days.
This means that if you play casually you should be able to do the same in 10x the time, so 20 days, playing naturally and most likely following a guide.
What makes you think that “most of playerbase” will not be able to hit that mark during a season? Why start with the principle of the impossible because only because a streamer can do it instead of “its doable in a month”?
this is any game poe and diablo if someone makes a good build then there is problems.
and when i say problems the ppl who post thousands of request for someone to rush their cap stones or to kill a boss for free cuz they have no skills is the ones who scream nerf the good builds cuz i can’t do that so no one can
Dont know toward whom this reply is but my take on the post was that there is a stats squish but it looks like the multipliers are forgotten/bugged. Damage numbers seem way to high again. Maybe it is a ptr thing maybe it isnt , i dont know want to have it visible for the designers…
they said dmg can still get in the millions if you know how to min-max your build lol 100 glyphs and 3 ga’s will do that huge dmg
I got a bit worried seeing how high the numbers can get even after the squish, although I am certain they will tune it down, I do hope they do it properly so the squish actually makes sense and isn’t immediately invalidated the very first season it goes live.
