I dont understand why anyone would struggle to do T4 as is exists today. Completing the Seasonal Journey is simple. …
… but it is impossible to disagree with you. They DID state that it is aspirational content and as such it shouldnt be in the seasonal journey. You are correct.
I get you don’t want to be told what to do, but you could always go with the OP version of necro and just steamroll anything that T4 has to offer.
There could be something or multiple things you are not doing that you are not aware of. You do sound like you don’t have a lot of time to play so maybe your character’s power is just not as high as it could be if you did. What level is your paragon and glyphs?
Since you are talking about a completely different problem, I would like to talk about tempering… And the low color saturation of the attacks…
But I think it’s better to focus on the fact that there is someone who can’t get past Torment 3 in a game that’s “pretty easy”.
Why are you whining so much that you arent good enough to be on torment 4? This is obviously a you problem.
Without seeing your build, and/or paragon board choices, hard to say what you are having difficulty with. Kessimee’s Legacy makes T4 a walk in the park. Do you have sufficient cooldown for your Blood Wave? Are you picking up sufficient Blood Orbs, if not? Tempered your gear? Masterworked (at least to lvl 8)?
OP is not blood wave
Point OP was making was the devs pushed the scam that all builds could easily do T4. Not the case with the minions of the necromancer. It has been that way since Alpha. They have shown this build they do not care about because how dare a minion build be better than a barbarian or the new overpowered Spirit born class.
Did they though? T1 is the beginning of end game. It kinda makes sense that you may have to work slightly to finish the season journey, otherwise they should just hand it to you?
Its difficult to play T4 with a full minion build and even more difficult with archaic point n click controls. You really need to switch to WASD because it is far superior and efficient. There is a reason why the new ARPGS coming out have this option. These are not old and slow point n click adventure games anymore. Things move way too fast and there are too many things to avoid to try and keep up with just a mouse.
I completed the season journey with blood wave and a golem. The blood wave itself does your damage while the golem is good for pulling agro. Decrepify, blight, and corpse tendrills are the other skills. Use flickerstep boots to evade thru enemies and reduce the ultimate cooldown. Temper to increase ultimate damage and reduce ultimate cooldown. And of course those unique pants from zir. It was certainly the most fun necro build I ever played. Every build guide recomends blood mist but my necro moves fast enough to avoid most things and the golem ability also acts as a CC breaker.
Good luck
Minion necro can do t4, I am playing necro every season from season 3 and minions are my way to go to tormented or t4 now in each of them. After I get familiar with the game I am not following any guides before actually in t4. And next season I am planning to drop guides at all, so have a purpose to play more than 1.5 weeks. Also have alts like ls sorc and even sorc is blasting t4, if you know what are you doing
These are the types of posts i see on reddit and then laugh when people complain D4 isn’t PoE2.
D4 isn’t even hard.
This is coming from a one braincell dad gamer with 12 wives 15 jobs and 42 kids who plays 1-10 hours a week.
I don’t get it
The season journey is kind of meant for everyone to finish…so long as they play. It is what prompts people to buy the battlepass the next season. I mean they claim this game caters to a casual audience…so this decision makes no sense.
Missed that, so he is just hopeless
I wouldn’t say hopeless, just missing / overlooking something.
Thank you! This is the most helpful advice in all of the replies to my conundrum.
Thank you, thank you!
BTW, I am an 82 year old lady who has been playing Diablo since the very beginning…BEFORE the “clinking coins sound” made history…will be 83 in three weeks.
Holy Moly… I’ve been playing this game for 25 Years!!
Awesome! My late mother was playing WoW up until she passed at 79! If you need, and / or want, some help or someone to group with, add me to friends.
I’m currently playing a mouse-only minion build. I can do the T4 content, but it’s considerably slower than T3, which, for me, means less fun.
From about level 5 and up, ALL minions should die in 1 second or so.
you want to play one of the weakest builds in d4 and handicap yourself to just using your mouse? furthermore you are expecting speed on a necro (the slowest class) and huge damage?
Maybe play one of the walking simulator meta builds instead?
