how do you start a new game in story mode?
Create a new character and don’t skip the campaign when given that option. The map and altars are account wide. Side quests, strongholds, etc all reset per character. Paragon is separate between eternal and seasonal.
If you want to start absolutely from scratch, I think you would need to buy another account.
