Many of us have waited so long for SSF so we could have a fair competition on the tower leaderboard and it is being ruined yet again after reset by bug exploiters. People doing 150 clears on the HC leaderboard.
Please fix the bugs and remove the exploiters from the leaderboard

Well you should have tempered your expectations. Anyone who’s been paying attention knew it wouldn’t launch without problems. Don’t expect next season to be right either.

Why would you expect that D4, which has been saturated with bugs for 3 years, would be bug free just for your SSF mode enjoyment?

“Exploiters” have been on the Diablo cheater boards for 23 years.

Cheaters gonna cheat. Doesnt matter what mode it is

Interesting takes above…
I don’t think it is an unreasonable expectation that these bugs will be fixed. Particularly ones that have been known about since last season (Rogue).
While I don’t disagree that cheaters will always find a way, they need to react to this stuff faster if they want the leaderboards to have any meaning.

Just ignore anyone on 150, you know it’s not real.
Why is this so hard for people

I dont know why people get so mad in leaderboards in a game like this, with no rewards, a full ammount of nothing for being 1st

Do you guys just lurk on the forums waiting to disagree with people?
- The leaderboard has rewards.
- Ignoring cheaters will not make them go away
- If they don’t maintain the integrity of the leaderboards there is no point even having them.

Some people think we should just expect the game to be shiat and get irritated when we complain about it being shiat. They’ll go as far as to call it crying.

Having leaderboards in an A-RPG is a joke.
Blizzard should remove those rewards.
Sure. Always ban cheaters. Leaderboards or not.
And yeah, fix bugs. As soon as possible. It is a travesty that Blizzard let bugs and imbalances stay throughout a season.

They used to ban these nerds in D3

Has Blizz ever taken account action against people who take advantage of bugs to leaderboard or clear hard content in D4 though?
If not, OP probably needs to rethink what “cheating” means.
I think they have banned exploiters in D3 and WoW at least.
D4? Maybe not. It isn’t like it seems as if they care about D4.
you think blizzard or the community doesn’t know there are bugs??? It’s not bringing attention to anything it’s whining over something that happens in every game.

Some people are competitive, and that’s what drives them and provides entertainment. Not everyone is the same.
That said, cheating has always existed and will always exist and only get worse as time goes on. If something has exploits, it will be exploited. And the very best companies can do is give the appearance of fairness.
Even if it happens in all games, it is always worth bringing attention to it.

In D4 they’ve banned players for botting, duping, or exploiting trade window bugs.
You made me curious and I looked at the EULA for gear/skill bugs. Up until they introduced the leaderboards I’m not sure there was an EULA violation for playing a bugged build. Flattening Lilith or Mephisto or clearing Pit 150 on a negative damage build was just a stunt. There was no competition between players so no advantage to be gained.
They may start paying attention now that there’s an in-game leaderboard and the halos. I wouldn’t be inclined to run Tower with a known bugged build.
Cheating: Create, use, offer, promote, advertise, make available and/or distribute the following or assist therein:
- cheats; i.e. methods not expressly authorized by Blizzard (whether accomplished using hardware, software, a combination thereof, or otherwise), influencing and/or facilitating gameplay, including exploits of any in-game bugs, and thereby granting you and/or any other user an advantage over other players not using such methods;
Unfortunately, there are some regular posters who seem to do that. You’ll eventually identify who they are so you account for their distractions.
On topic, it is sad that they can’t get a handle on the exploits and cheats in SSF mode. Was hoping all the beta testing of the leaderboards would give them the tools to quickly identify and rectify this type of situation.
