"Special Cosmetic" for accelerated BP

If the 666 price is accurate that would probably be about $6. Seems pretty low for a full set so it wouldn’t surprise me if the 666 wasn’t accurate but IDK. Maybe they intend to do actual microtransactions instead of macrotransactions like PoE does. I think it should be cheaper since this isn’t a free game but I don’t want to get my hopes up.

This is not true. You can just unequip PoE armor from one character to another. You don’t have to pay for it.

If you are mad about people paying for a cosmetic, you should probably refund the game now.

Nobody actually knows if there is an additional cosmetic in the ultimate. Most people assume it’s a typo or misworded, but we don’t really know.

Its wings of the creator

h ttp://www.vhpg.com/diablo-4-wings-of-the-creator-emote/

Its been known for a long time and has been on the preorder page since preorder became available.

This is my point exactly and this is what OP is complaining about. This cosmetic in question is only obtainable if you spend money. There is no activity/content tied to acquiring it.

Youre going to be really sad when you realize what literally everything in the premium currency shop is…

You’re correct. It had been so long I was thinking of the vanishing dye. Yes, you do just remove the cosmetic from one character to put it on the next one, but the point remains you can’t use it more than once at a time, something D4 presumably can. Conversely, PoE has no restrictions regarding cosmetics other than an available slot for it whereas D4 does have a class restriction.

It seems like the cosmetics we unlock for the battlepass are for all classes but the shop ones are class specific.
Also for PoE you might have been thinking about the reskin currency. You can change one item to look like another I believe. Most of the items in game look lame though so I never saw the point. I think that is a one use currency.

Wait till you hear that you can buy cosmetics just straight up!

Sheesh, the things people will complain about. All this information was known well ahead of time. Yes it sucks that you can’t earn how cool your character looks through the game play alone. But we’ve known this for years now. They are selling cosmetics. You can pay and get cosmetics. That’s just the way it is.

I’m not a fan of it either, it’s just forcing in a little FOMO that they didn’t need to do.

Don’t buy it. FOMO is a personal problem.

It’s a cosmetic you pay extra for.

Has no effect on gameplay.

They will sell cosmetics on the store too.

This is a completely non-issue.

The rage trolls here are in desperate need to be upset by SOMETHING. Either the Druids don’t look like their crusty Waifu pillows, or the paragon system is poorly explained (when it’s been thoroughly explained and planners are already available), or the battle pass is “P2W” despite Blizz being uncharacteristically transparent about it’s contents and it not being P2W in any way, or that THEIR class isn’t in D4, or that their stupidly OP skills got nerfed, etc, etc.

It’s one of a million mostly fabricated choices for their impotent rage to be aimed at. FWIW; the forums are SO much more peaceful if you find these people, and mute / ignore them. Gets rid of a ton of the whining posts, and the input from the basement gang.

They made sure to not make the game p2w so nobody can have an advantage and nobody is upset.
People still find reasons to get tilted over cosmetics.

My god, there’s no pleasing people lol.

I don’t think that is true. If you look on the official Diablo IV pre-purchase page

https://diablo4.blizzard.com/en-us/

On one line it says this:

  • Accelerated Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock**** (includes a Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock plus 20 Tier Skips and cosmetic)

On a separate line it says this:

  • Wings of the Creator Emote

They are two separate things. Not to mention they said it is a “special” cosmetic and I’ve never known emotes to be called cosmetics in any game I’ve played.

I’m definitely buying.

Yeah it is kind of vague. Is it a cosmetic just for the prepurchase or are the premium battlepasses always going to come with a cosmetic? Only thought is that the cosmetic is tied into the theme of the first season so they don’t want to share it yet. I honestly didn’t even notice it until people pointed it out though.

Yea, very vague but I noticed right away when it first was posted like that because I love cosmetics just not how much companies normally charge for them.

It is under pre-purchase so for right now it seems to be just a pre-purchase incentive. As far as Premium Seasonal Battle Passes are concerned we just don’t know right now but I wouldn’t put it past Blizz to do this with each new season. We’ll have to wait and see since everything seems to be a secret.

I was hoping they would share more on the first season with us and give us more specific info on cost of cosmetics in the shop but I guess since the season isn’t coming until July it makes sense they want to hold off and hype it closer to the start.
