What skills do you consider “really cool”? Have you played previous Diablo games? I’m genuinely curious because I personally feel like the skills in D4 are actually considerably LESS cool than in Diablo 2. I expected innovation with Diablo 4, not regression.

While I share the sentiment of having multiple classes on par, with varying builds. Some builds are gonna be better. Some people will massacre their skill-tree/paragon and wonder why they can’t do anything.
I’d like to play chain lightning and ball lightning, but that isn’t viable for 6x+ Plus it’s pretty weak overall and still requires multiple defensives and some form of vuln.
Plus I am tired of playing frogger and the 1 hit simulator :')
As a sorc I don’t find it hard with my ice shards build to wipe an entire groups of enemies ( tho I am t40 only so far),but when it comes to a boss that I can’t apply my chill/freeze and stun to (sorcs have a lot of dmg% bonuses when fighting cc enemies),and only fire works then yeah. It SUCKS.
The more I play as sorc the more limited I feel. Seems like higher tiers won’t be easily reachable as it would be for other classes.
Not to mention we are really confined to 2 builds that can actually dish damage. It’s terrible. The balance is terrible. I hate it .

Your not doing something right if your not melting everything in the open world at level 80. Ive played some of the worst builds in the game and still melt at legions.

even building/towers? hmm i dont think so (I bet a druid/barb/rogue or necro just 1 hit it so fast you think you are)… but you arent

I’ve seen Necros solo world bosses in less then 3 minutes. Granted he was 100, like me as a sorc, but that’s just wild.
Balanced as all things should be.
Sorc problem is not only resistance but a way to apply vulnerble. You kinda forced to play with nova. So whatever your build will be playstyle will remain the same.

Worst feeling: being a level 100 BiS ice shards sorc plinking away at a structure then seeing a level 75 Necro come by and delete it.
Edit: this is a bit of an exaggeration. You can spec for equal-level content with a no-CC build that can kill structures and anything pretty quickly, but you have to go out of your way to do so by reconfiguring your paragon boards and glyphs.

Yes of course objective buildings. I think its lack of knowledge about how to build chars correctly. And no, there isnt just 1-2 builds that work for each char.
If you’re talking about some of the worst builds in the game on a class that isn’t sorc, this makes sense. But no, you’re not melting towers at legion events with any sorc build.

Well some day i hope to be level 100 (arc lash), and yeah… im sure that has to feel painful. I started playing HC mode and on normal level HC i went to a legion event (Yes on hard core) with my level 35 sorc and there was a level 8 (yes EIGHT) barb… i was smacking the legion tower for over 20 seconds to almost see a pixel of damage to it and the level 8 (yes level EIGHT) barb came running in smacked it once and boom tower down… ugh

Incinerate sorc. People dont realize that when they level they actually do more damage. A exact same build at level 80 char will do easily 4x more dmg at level 100. Minions stop scaling in the open world so you should easily be melting at a +15 level difference with all builds. Thats why doing 30+ levels difference in nm dungeons at level 70 is almost identical to 30+ level difference being at level 100. Just because you only doing 100k vs 1 million doesnt matter because everything is scaled according 30 level difference.

My max hit is in the region 2,7mil with Arc Lash at level 100 with near perfect gear
I didn’t start to hit this hard until I took a long close look at my paragon board. Still no competition for most other classes but I can finesse content up to tier 55 with ease.
I could probably push higher, i’ll be honest i haven’t even tried xD
Is Arc Lash the best optimized build to run… No
Is Ice Shard beter… Yeah
I won’t be swapping any time soon though, I kick the booty

now that is a believable skill bar. Your friend talks out of his butt saying you are carrying the team with blizzard and deep freeze… as an arc lash build.

dont get me wrong, i love playing arc lash and I agree its not very good for dps compared to ice, my playstyle enjoys it since I can take a beating but there is no way I am carrying the team as your friend describes. I probably would be the last guy standing (many times I am thats why i am the perma rezzer)…
But my only question is for your friend, what sauce would like like with his crow dinner? I personally like a nice spicy hot sauce with my crow (which I eat often) hah

Your animosity is bewildering though, I thought the forum was a place for people to help each other and everything he said was on the money. Arc Lash is not only good, but also a really fun class to play and if you’re struggling as an Arc Lasher, like I did at one time, all you need to do is reflect on your gear, aspects and paragon board. Also, he isn’t wrong, there was a time where I did run Blizzard as an Arc Lasher and I have used Deep freeze in the past but, as your gear becomes BiS the need to work with what you’ve got decimates quickly

I’m only level 83 3/4ths, I dont have the teleport chest but most of my gear is power level 800+ and fairly decent aspects/natural from gears imprinted. I am able to do mobs at level 100 however it takes a really really really long time to do dps to them. On the flip side, i live long enough to outlast them unless that stupid disc thing in the nightmare dungeons figures, ill go way over her eto pop the shield and with a click teleport to it or a flameshield pop to run to it, I’m safe until a mob with chains yanks me out… I do “okay”…
the teleport chest is really my key piece that is hold back the fun from my true potential, congrats on having it

What kinda not smart complaint is this? Or a request? Most classes pretty much well balanced and strong builds if you can fond out. Stop complaint for being weak build and asking for boosts ? Doesbt make sense, go back to softcore plz
It should be this, but lack of moderation has allowed trolls to turn people on each other.
I find it a real shame that seeing trolls everywhere you look on the internet is seriously the day and age we’re in, the lack of responsibility people have for what they say/do truly brings out the ugly in their personality
