I thought I’d post something positive after reading mostly negative comments here about S2/AoZ these last few days.
Yes, there is reason for some people to complain but I also see the team is constantly improving the content in an ongoing season. Speaking for myself, I’m had tremendous fun this season and still have. The upcoming adjustments to AoZ sound overall pretty good. Also, it is a great start for upcoming leaderboard content because now they can still fix grave mistakes while not having to worry about rankings.
There’s a thin line between “not enough to do” and “too much to do” and everybody interprets it differently. A loud general tone is often defined by what opinion streamers put out there and the majority of people usually adapt it. The part I don’t understand is that those streamers usually have much more time than the average player and yet they define what’s too much and what’s alright.
Also classes and builds will never be fully balanced and never have been in any diablo game. There’s also no reason for everyone to achieve everything. Some people should try to get that out of their head. You grind your loot and upgrade for your own class and build. It does not greatly affect you when another class is performing slightly better. In my opinion the balance should just not get out of hand completely then content might feel like hard work when it’s a breeze for others.
I see a lot of improvement from the start to the current state of the game and if the team continues to improve it in this pace, I think I will also have a lot of fun in seasons to come. If you feel exausted or feel like you can’t keep up in a long ongoing season, just come back next season and see what’s in store for you by then! That’s my advice for players in that situation.
To the team, keep up the good work and see that there’s also people who appreciate your ongoing work on the game and are overall happy with the results.
Cheers!
