Force allow the game through firewall (for some reason it didn’t add itself there) and block Blizzard cdn servers in Windows hosts file:
127.0.0.1 us.cdn.blizzard.com
i also added one for EU just in case
127.0.0.1 eu.cdn.blizzard.com
I’m on EU but for some reason when I open Inventory it does requests to us.cdn… and then times out. It’s written in the game’s log file called FenrisDebug.txt
They look like this:
E 2026.04.26 19:14:16.649381 528 [Sigma] [tact] [:0]: cURL request us.cdn.blizzard.com/blah/blah failed with 28 : Timeout was reached
E 2026.04.26 19:14:16.649390 528 [Sigma] [tact] [:0]: Download request us.cdn.blizzard.com/blah failed. Code: -1.
Now my inventory just hicks up once for a split second and then works flawlessly.
Not sure what spaghetti network coding Blizzard was using if blocking this does only good.
“hosts” file is here:
C:\windows\System32\drivers\etc
Win+R
paste C:\windows\System32\drivers\etc
Enter
open it with notepad
add lines
127.0.0.1 us.cdn.blizzard.com
127.0.0.1 eu.cdn.blizzard.com
Save
Restart PC
