So...Armor and All res...design issue...no useful gems for jewelry

Nah I don’t do 3rd party trade. This is a me problem on boss mats but they are stingy this season.

I think the chests outside of the 275 steel should drop other matts.

they really are just sparse due to people focussing completely on hordes really. the people farming them (lets not talk about the dupes) make a fortune i guess ^^

My opinion is they should replace all tier 4 helltide chests with targeted boss mat chests. So many sources of gear now, those chests are worthless imo.

Dont the events in helltide also drop boss matts from chest? A lot of people used to bounce between events for cinders at one time.

That would be nice have a

Blood chest
Heart chest
Fear chest
Steel chest.

Love the idea soluss.

It’s not just that. I don’t spend all my time in hordes. I never do a singular activity unless it’s necessary. I spread my time. They are just not dropping as much as last season. Last season I coulda filled a stash with blood and such but had no stones. This season stones aren’t rare but everything else is.

yea, not a bad idea. i mean… in s5 i just opened these chests without caring too much about the gear anyway.

dedicated farming. hence why im not too fond of these ideas of “other sources of glyph ep” btw ^^

Hmm I guess that possible. I honestly don’t know. I either roam the zone or hit up maiden. Events bore me lol.

gives the HT some more importance after the introduction of hordes. i mean HT has been nicely received in s4, now its just a throw away content.

1 - Armor and Jewelry should have a Physical Defense and Magic Defense value
2 - Both Physical and Magic Defense would scale up to 85% Damage Reduction against Level 100 enemies with enemy damage remaining a constant past enemy level 100.
3 - Players should be able to naturally cap out these values with Item Level 925 items. These Defensive Values have been removed as Affixes, Paragon, and Aspects and instead are inherent values similar to All Resists on Jewelry or Armor values on specific armor slots.
4 - Magic Defense is essentially a streamlined version of All Resists. There is no such thing any longer as singular Elemental Resistances.
5 - Any item, Aspect, Paragon, etc. is reworked or removed. For example: Juggernaut may change from providing Flat Armor to Damage Reduction while Unstoppable. Disobedience may change to stacking Barrier Generation. Tyrael’s could have a Magic Absorb instead of increasing Maximum Resistances which Generates a Barrier for a portion of damage taken. Tassets may Heal you for a portion of damage based on the last element damaging you.

Point being, there are a lot more interesting synergies you can build and gear with falling into the Passive Defense, Offense as Defense, Utility as Defense etc. and make gearing way more fun. Hitting the Armor Cap and Elemental Soft Cap just is not fun and it is an annoying balancing act as you are progressing early on with relic individual Resists.

Unlike some other ARPGs the game is simply not playable unless you are at “cap” currently. This mandatory requirement sucks the fun out of the game. You know what really sucks? Having a Ring with Shadow Resist inherent and you need Fire, or Jewelry Gems that are boring.

As you Masterwork, Elemental Resists and Armor become completely inconsequential. You are only delaying players early on and gating them with RNG - which is again - not fun.

So what else does this do? It means Gems for Jewelry can be more exciting and should be! Resource Aspects would get removed from Rings. Instead, they would be added to Sockets of Rings. Rings would gain the ability to have either Offensive of Utility Aspects on them. Amulets would work a little differently in that the Socket would accept any Movement Aspect while retaining the ability to place any Aspect on it with a 1.5x bonus.

You would now always get 2x Resource Aspects from Rings and 1 Movement Aspect from your Amulet Sockets. This fixes a lot of issues players have with Resources and trying to balance limited slots and how Aspect restrictions work as well as providing Movement Utility. This is far more compelling to balance Uniques with such amazing Unique and Mythic Uniques in these slots.

Players would be free then to use Jewelry to place the Aspects they really need to compliment or define their builds.

Yeah the reward structure for hoards is very very high relative to time.

I mean t7 nets 50-75 million gold in 12 minutes if you need gold right?
NOTHING nets that in the game, whispers at the best were maybe at 50 million if you split farmed them in a group per area.

SS is about 1 per 250 ather in t7, which is more than the rate of what you would get doing 90 second t101’s over an hour.

Mats? Angelbreath, vieled, and beneathiron? wow no contest there either. Get more here in 1 hour than 4 hours of helltides.

And nightmare dungeons - wow. I just run through them for glyph exp and fuggitabutit.

It’s about 1,000,000 times more common in D4 than D2 that’s for sure.

Though I was very lucky: 1st Boss runs of the Season - 2 Beast = 0, 2 Duriel = Tyrael’s followed by a double drop of Andy’s and DB.
Outside of that …TBH I think many of the complaints about Mythic have more to do with “Can’t find a GA one” vs “Can’t find one at all” these days.
Pre Season 5 I could believe 100x runs with no Mythic as sadly common.
Now? I’d dare say that’s exceedingly rare to go 0/100.
