By way of example: In Diablo 3 you could switch builds in 2 seconds at the wardrobe. This is an essential feature that the developers KNEW was needed in the game, and they just ignored it. In Diablo 4, it takes 1-2 hours to switch to a new build. Unacceptable,

For those of you still grasping at the general concept, please allow me to summarize- the point of games like Diablo (and dare I mention Revenant (RIP)) is to ahem walk someplace and kill things.
If you don’t enjoy repetitive behaviors, you may be in the wrong genre.
I mean, what are they going to do- design another continent and introduce fast travel (Final Fantazamacy)?
The next thing you know, people are going to be asking for followers and better mount attacks. Seriously…
You can’t tell me the Devs haven’t had at least one jousting tournament.
Im sure they know, the Dev are just keeping all the QOL and updates behind a season wall.
So the game can “progress” instead of giving it all to you and let you have fun now.

I want another 150+ altars of Blizzard so I can run around a map mindlessly being forced to collect stupid things to get max attributes for my character because that’s what we call awesome game play !!!
Maybe while they are at it they could put in a daily limit of the number of dungeons you could raid and to increase this limit you have to buy a cosmetic item because that’s what awesome game play is , gotta have good looking toons in a game am I right ?
They should also add in a daily subscription so that you have to pay to play the game for the next 24 hours because limiting everything is awesome gameplay.

I think all of these things are planned. Its not that they are gating them behind anything. They just haven’t finished making them. They could have sat on the game another 2 years, or release it like they did. I would pick the release and build rather than wait and see.

You can gear out your NPC Merc the way you want.
Enigma for teleport, to scrolls for back to town. ESC button for back to town. Waypoints to teleport around the world.
D1 even had this minus WP and companions. Enigma was teleport scroll or book.
Do you understand what Diablo was before acti bliz ruined it?

Yes Draknalor i read a lot of your post defending any aspect of this game …even the bugs and coding problem …
Not sure if you get paid ( Yes , there are companies that pay people to write on different forums fb/reddit anything ) or simply you and some others like Singularity …Exiled…and 4/5 more have the lowest expectation for everything just to spend entire days and hours writing the same and the same that the game is amazing …

That’s a you problem for playing the class you are playing btw.
My 60 sec ability is off CD before the 10 sec duration is even over due to lucky hit procs.
More damage = More good.
4 boards with a 10x DmG glyph in each is very enjoyable.
At least to me it is fun to be able to defeat harder content easier as time moves on.

Blizzard makes games for a very different reason than fir example ”Larion” or PoE.
Blizzard knows they will make bank just on the diablo & Blizzard name because a lot of people are oblivious on what has happent to that company in recent years.
So the least Viable product is ”Good enough”
Their product are there to generate revenue, Not give players a good experience.
Why expect any thing else?

Except it does exist. It is called POE.
What people want are simplified POE-like systems for build variety, itemization, and crafting with end game content surpassing what POE offers (ActiBlizz is a multi-billion dollar studio) and this is the most important bit - on d4’s engine, with d4’s graphics and gameplay.
By gameplay I mean this game feels great to control in the moment (insert horse memes and crowd control memes here), NOT the absolutely horrendous cooldown abd resource system. D4’s builds are literally ALL just figuring out how to cheat the horrible cooldowns and resources to be able to actually play an ARPG.
The solution to all of this is in reverse order that I posted. Fix cooldowns and resource management, then end game content, then crafting, itemization, and build variety.
Everything from devs to authors to actors to musicians gets constant hate mail and even death threats because there’s so many people that take content that is made that they disagree with as personal insults.
It’s weird that people act like that, I can’t ever see myself be that insane about any subject to go to such lengths.

Yep, lots of unhinged people out there. Its amazing they dont have enough self-awareness to recognize how abnormal that behavior really is.
I did not run that far. I bored out mid 50. All I wanted was a game that is fun to play and for me with D4 was only nice to experience the campaign. Gameplay sucked from level 1, the loot is nonsense and my minion build was… lacking…
Agreed. It’s amazing to me that people turn so toxic over a video game. I can’t imagine how they actually act in real life. Maybe they feel embolden by the anonymity forums provide.
The reason why i am so positive currently is because imo, S1 stuff pretty much “Fixes” Minion build for me and i can run it just fine even in high tier content.
Will suck once S1 ends tho, Maybe i won’t even try S2… would be a pain to have to try and get mendeln again
