It was the same last season. I had to play like a semi pro gamer to beat the uber bosses on my pulverize druid… then I switched to an actual build and vaporized them in 30 seconds.
that’s what that Necro who ambushed me thought…and most of my gear isn’t even masterworked yet. he had to literally stab me from behind while I was doing a Waves of Darkness event.
then he ran to the next Altar to “cash out” lol, but he found out the hard way I’m an for an
kinda guy. I took all my red farts back, as well as his own and for good measure ran through the underleveled noob that attacked him earlier and took his red farts too.
about 70k total, they didn’t dare come near me while I cashed out at my leisurely pace.
Tormented Duriel is the better bet. His mechanics are pretty much identical to regular Duriel. Just need to teleport away when he gets close because he’ll summon a big poison circle when your near (his only new mechanic). Kill the twins he summons as soon as they appear.
The fight will be long if you don’t have good damage though. Might want to switch to Frozen Orb.
But anyway, I think you’ll have an easier time with Tormented Duriel than with Andariel.
just to add, you also need to dodge the thick projectiles he shoots in an arc every now and then. those also give a stack just like the poison circle. not difficult to dodge tho.
Do what I did and just join a group that carries you. Statistically speaking I was the highest level with the best gear, but my reflexes aren’t what they used to be. I had other people doing the dodging and staying alive and reviving me to kill them.
If you’re toughness is right, the little projectiles he throws can be face tanked. I’m playing rogue and just use Dark Shroud, no dodge/fortify stuff. They hit me all the time but do next to no damage.
yea they really dont deal much damage, its just the stacking debuff that becomes a problem eventually ^^
Uber or torment bosses?
Of course tormented bosses. Uber Duriel is happy if he can live for 3 seconds while fighting against an average 17 damage build.
Long story short. Worse players won´t finish journey for 100%… Where is the problem?
I am no casual and I also won´t finish it, bcs I am no soulmaster to dodge every single attack and I won´t risk my HC char to IK mechanics.
Tip is to make a bash barb, and bash away to glory.
I can dodge the evil 1-shot mechanics of the pit bosses but thats it. Just thinking of fighting against Uber Lilith 1-shots me.
if you do fine in like pit 70 you certainly wont have too much trouble on the tormented bosses. depending on your build they are quite tanky, but not incredibly difficult.
uber lilith for sure is a force to be careful on.
The requirement is fine, not everyone has to complete the full journey
The problem is the scaling (damage especially), just cleared Pit 43 and then couldn’t kill a single blister spawn vs Lillith (not even close even, like total damage focus on the blister managed to shave off ~10% blister HP). Forget Lillith, even a blister spawn is neigh unkillable
Fix THAT first, don’t care if it’s required or not, fix the scaling
I am far from defending Lilith state (never tested btw) But clearing low lvl pit can be hardly considered as proof of anything
At this point, IDK what is considered low tier tbh, still think 142 should be decent enough to be able to challenge Lillith (not lvl200, just the lvl100 Lillith)
Thank you. You made me summon Tormented Varshan and he died within under a minute. None of his attacks could do heavy damage nor 1-shot me. Yippieh. 1 spark more
I have to try Tormented Duriel too. I wonder how heavy the poison damage can hit
I have done lvl 85 Pit but at that point the requirement to pound on enemies for extended periods of time took a lot of the fun out in for me so I just went back to running 70’s. It’s the new 3 debuff thing and you’re dead that I don’t like because it’s still just have the ability to dodge or you’re dead only now with a sugary coating. There are two types of people, those who can dodge and for various reasons including physical/visual impairment, those who can’t . I’ve killed Lilith but that was before Blizzard in it’s infinite benign wisdom decided you weren’t allowed to skip the mechanics anymore.
I’ve played every season. Never beat Lilith. Oneshot mechanics = bad game design and only cater to tryhards.
When people say “uber” Lilith, is that something new, or just reg Lilith you don’t need anything to summon? I mean as in the “echo” quest you get.
When people say uber Lilith I assume there’s a new version this season that needs Stygian stones, but iirc, there’s no place to use those when going to Lilith’s zone.
