I won’t go into detail but if you understand how the exploit worked it was very easy to do. They claimed to have fixed it but either that was a lie or another method was found. Seeing their successes with patches I know which one has my vote.
This was a huge oversight by the D4 team due to the lack of testing or lack of a competent test team. Most likely both.

Without details, basically they “broke” account bound. Seems like Blizz is dropping the ball but considering what is going on in the world, i wouldnt be surprised if more company reductions are going into effect before S10 which would seriously put the game in a more downward spiral.
The way it worked whoever coded it either neglected to put a necessary check in the code or they actually did but it was never tested and in typical Fergusson fashion it was released into the game and dealt with later. This check is very basic and easily coded/tested making me wonder if it was anything but unintentional.
And, FYI, yes, I can code.
Either way you are correct, they dropped the ball…again, and again, and again.
At this point if this is how bad they are at their jobs more reductions would be a good thing. Weed out the incompetent.

Maybe they sure hire people that can do the work AND have a passion for a franchise to succeed. I can code as well which is why i was a bit vague. +1 to you for seeing it my friend.

Leaderboards in D4 are a joke. There is no point for them. No sponsor tournaments, no real money won. No physical trophy from Blizzard saying “Congrats on a top 5 finish with buying duped items with real money that we got from you”.
Seriously. D4 and their “boards” are just something for those wanting to stroke something too small to see.

99% of the players left playing has no issue with duping so nobody cares one bit about it: blizzard certainly doesn’t.

Seriously. As an avid D3 player who never, ever sets the game public, I couldn’t give even half a rotted rat’s patootie how much loot a bot gets, nor can I understand why anyone else claims to.
You ever think that there is only about 10k players left and 290k bots. That’s is a lot of mats for the bots that were dumb enough to invest in d4. There is about 15m unused product keys out there.
