Oh they will update them all right. They do this for a living so they can’t afford no to.
The fact they are Aspects and not done as a Unique Amulet with (2) Blood Powers is the problem.
Take Undying for example. It is a Defensive Aspect which we are already very limited on spots. It offers you no Damage Mitigation or EHP, but simply heals you at a slow rate. You cannot heal if you are dead. When you compare it to Might, Numbing Wrath, Iron Warrior, Iron Blood, Juggernaut - it is worse. Undying absolutely should have been combined with Resilience at the very least to give you DR and a Heal.
They took Accursed Touch and slapped Prey on the Weak to it, not sure why they felt Undying is strong enough on its own.
Yeah, seems spidey heals better with no loss of aspect you’re currently using. Most that I’m using at this point in the game would be very hard to go wiithout. Moonrise is the only one I’m giving serious consideration to right now assuming I find one.
Metamorphosis and Blood Boil might be interesting for Barbs that use overpower.
Disagree. I actually enjoy the game until I get to the very end. It then becomes a chore.
The X damage is questionable on Blood Boil and probably scales horrendously. Having another OP source is great but every 20 seconds is kind of meh. If your OP deals let’s say hits for 1,000,000,000 - this equates to a 50,000,000 DPS increase.
Considering you will probably have both Bonebreaker and Earthstriker if you are prioritizing Overpower, you probably do not need burst damage every 20 seconds but rather more consistency in between your OP windows.
Can we stop making unique gear it’s killing build diversity. Most builds have too many especially sorc builds ive literally seen crocs play with only one aspect. We can do better, make legendary and unique gems.
the fun of vampire powers were that they were stacked on top of your usual build, not replacing pieces of it outright for the vampiric powers
we need something like kanai’s cube (a simple secondary power/item system) to get a similar effect, otherwise they’re just going to keep missing the point altogether
of course a curated build isn’t going to be replacing any pieces, they’re practically complete and designed to have each piece serve a purpose and synergies with each other
metamorphosis is basically the only one strong enough to warrant swapping out for something
or it would be, if it didn’t have such a restrictively long cooldown to evade, practically necessitating cdr on attack for evade
moonrise appears to be strong, i think that thing will make non crone basic attack builds for druid be at similar power. like earthspike with grizz rage.
oh and its nice having a class neutral aspect that gives vulnerable finally.
i was thinking thematically for something different with vamp powers though, like pact being a socketable item that takes a socket slot and replaces a legendary aspect. But im sure that would be more complicated, add new drops to the loot table… pact drops go to aspect tab, salvageable for materials, use those at the occultist to craft random pacts, etc…
so much potential
Normally, I would agree with that except this would hopefully dissuade people from just equipping Banished Lord’s Talisman for Overpower Builds. Amulets are a coveted spot and require decision making, but also flexibility. Putting these as Aspects almost surely means they won’t get picked very often except in a handful of builds. A Unique that has (2) Blood Powers is inline with the potency of the Amulet slot and feels less like a side-grade and more of like having power on top of it all (Seasonal Blood Powers).
I agree that having more diversity in socketables is a great route to go for many things. Grim Dawn had 2 layers of this with Enchantments and Enhancements. They were differentiated enough that you could juggle things as your itemization changed to fill the gaps.
Elemental Resists in Diablo 4 are so myopic and shallow for example. Everyone wants tri-resist boots, then you pray you get the right Element on your Jewelry and slot in Gems for the other Elemental Resists. As soon as you hit the effective cap of 70% in WT4, there is no reason to go past that. You want precisely 70% + 0. Any point past is completely wasted.
They should have made these lower powered aspects but aspects that go on uniques along with some more aspects just for uniques. That would get ppl excited.
That would have been fantastic. Being able to put Metamorphisis on Tibaults? Boiling Blood on Hellhammer? Moonrise on Ramas? Undying on Battle Trance? Would actually consider taking Unique Boots…
Yes something like that. The aspects would have to be minor but its still something we dont have right now and would be fun and exciting.
I literally don’t use banished lord on my rogue or my barb? Why would I when the buff time is mandatory only for bosses because getting it to proc correctly when running an dungeon and not on the first or last survivor in a mob sounds dumb to me to actually use it outside of a boss room. I prefer an aspect with double to treble x dmg multipliers to passive paired with MS. Also I don’t see why people need treble res boots on any class, I’ve all 5 characters at level 100 and not one of them except Barb has one res on boots cause to me dr injured, cool-down is more important
Maybe if they didnt wear their hoodies 24/7 they’d have oxygen to actually think straight when making a build.
Which means you are sacrificing DR on Chest, Legs, and/or Helmet to get your Resists. You are not capping your Resists unless you have (3) Elemental Affixes (at least) on your Armor. Jewelry and Gems can only cover so much. Boots do not have CDR on them and DR while Injured is only good for chip damage. Even with a very high HP pool, considering DR While Injured only gives you DR for damage dealt while you are in the Injured status, its effectiveness is up for debate (especially when you have so many methods to Heal to full, gain Barrier etc.)
Banished Lords is extremely easy to proc with it only requiring 300 Fury. To put that into perspective, that is gaining OP after every 3rd HoTA/WW animation cancel. That is basically every 3-6 seconds.
People do swap it out for Dungeon clears because it isn’t needed then slap it on, dump your Fury ans bam, you can open with a guaranteed OP Crit.
100% correct and agree. But thats the RPG element. There’s also Action element which a lot of people seeks for lesiure/entertainment.
What? I don’t have resist on anything mate, know why because I don’t follow build guides I build them myself and there’s plenty of all resist in the paragons on all classes that don’t require too much deviation from your path or you can redirect your path and lose a few extra points. My chest is always TA, dr close, distant, max life, pants tibaults, helm godslayer (if you don’t have shako), amus are always max speed, dr flat and multipliers. I have max res, 14k armor and atleast 30-35 dr without shako.
If you are not at cap Resists, your build is bad. In order to get the amount of All Resists you need (impossible) from Paragon, you are wasting a ton of points.
I don’t follow Build Guides to have common sense.
well you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. We have multiplying glyphs to use and most times they line up with damages you want also they hold the main stat for that glyph. Go learn about it and then come back, I will accept an apology
