So no changes to drop rates of materials, legendaries?

They mentioned it in the campfire, but did they seriously not even address this in the new patch?

They have given up on this season and it makes me sad…

I think they said something along the lines of drop rates being a S7+ thing

Ahh did they? I remember it as a “we are addressing it” type conversation, so I thought it would be sooner.

Yeah, I remember my disappointment quite well when I realized that drop rates are going to be terrible for the remainder of the season :joy:

They said they were happy with the drop rates.

i think the next ptr campfire chat will shed light on their plans.

Yeah, I am very sure it was during the Q&A section and the question was around Ansestral drop rates.

The Answer was we are aware drop rates are lower than we like and we will talk about it at the next campfire next week.

But as others have said that campfire (next week) I believe is about Season 7 PTR and not this season. So looks like Season 6 drop rates are staying where they are unless there is some massive backlash to current drop rates. Hope I am wrong but I think I got what was said right.

Some of the campfire was “We know this issue exists, but moving on anyways…we did a good job of this other thing…”

They did a great job! everyone can do tier 1 lol… ughhh. Cmon guys.
Everyone is so frustrated… throw us a bone

yep - made it clear they don’t want us finishing a single build this season. Instead they believe we should all be grinding billions of gold to buy the loot - or spending our cash on it!

Dev are so out of touch with player base and game issues.

They have demonstrated they can boost drops rates overnight if they choose - so this was an easy win for them - but no - season of loot aborted is what they want!

Legion will receive an increasing reward buff.

Maybe this will probably help to farm materials.

Best of luck.

-I don’t want to 3rd party sites for gear and then also get flagged if I accidentally get some dupe.

-Also don’t like grinding for hours for a few ancestrals that give me GA… a resist, life on kill, etc.

I hear ya.

The campfire could have been 5 seconds long:

“If it would have incentivized you to come back, we didn’t do it.”

They said tightening, but when?

Indeed, packaged together with ubiquitous nerfs to all classes. Ho ho ho.

The drop rates in D4 are undoubtedly higher than any iso-arpg I have ever played.

I sense a disconnect between getting “things I want” and the actual drop rate.

The only rare things in this game are mythics.

They said the legion chest drop will be buffed and it’s in the patch notes as well.

Whether this is true or not; they are undoubtedly lower than they have ever been.
You can’t compare it to random experiences you have previously had.
You can compare it to every other season. And it feels bad.

I’m pretty certain it only feels bad because you know about it rather than because it’s actually the case. Three things happened:

  1. They got rid of an entire junk tier (sacred iirc) of items.
  2. They made ancestral items stronger.
  3. They greatly expanded progression through the paragon board being shared and an end-game system that was extremely accessible with a multitude of methods to acquire gear both through event completion and crafting (the blacksmith caches) alongside targeted access via mercenaries in the expansion.

I get it, “feels bad” > objective truth, but you went from ancestral being an entire tier of equipment that people complained about being boring to a rarer series that people are complaining about not drowning in. Which is amusing.

Look! If I can clear a legion event with 10 other players, and only die twice to a World boss on Tier1, I’m doing good.
Everyone chill.
Just chill.
