Okay… but that has nothing to do with mid-game or end game issues. You can enjoy the game and still see it has flaws. You’ve barely played it. Why not hold your opinion until you’ve finished?
I think if you look you’ll find it’s a lot of the same people posting. Not always, but the threads with the highest view counts seems to be.
I’ve also noticed that a lot of them:
-
are opinions of hardcore gamers, some boasting hundreds of hours in previous Diablo games, who just want to skip the story/campaign and go straight to end game content. That is their game (nothing wrong with that - it’s part of what Diablo is).
-
are heavily invested in what streamers/influencers say and do.
So, read the room, I guess.
I mean not really? When i am playing Wolcen or Victor vran i mostly don’t feel myself negative. But with blizzard and their games really something wrong. They just feels like they created to make you suffer and no fun allowed
gamers can be really immature about not getting things their way, unfortuately it’s really ingrained in the culture esp with all the content creators profitting off it.
They said humanity’s salvation would be found in this game, those liars! =P
WHAT YOU TALKIN’ ABOUT, I’M RIGHT HERE BIG BOY! COME GET IT
Ok, well if anyone is going to try to claim in my presence that Wolcen is a better game than Diablo IV I am just gonna have to bow out of the conversation. This is dealing in delusions.
Leveling to 50 is really fun. Late game is just an endless repeating grind with no real end goal.
Absolutely! The complainers love to post but they are just a VERY vocal minority.
They made a game for casuals / gamer dads / consoles. Big audience, easier to satisfy. More money for Bobby.
Not hating anyone who enjoys this game but it is what it is.
There won’t be any new Blizzard game for no lifers / die hards. I wish they would allow modding for some of their games, seems the only way both audiences could be pleased.
Because “gamer dads” are the guys whose first gaming experience was Diablo 1. They have been there from the beginning. Of course they are gonna be taken into account. A large part of the audience for this game is in the 35-45 year old range. I know because I am one of them (not a dad, but in this bracket).
I’m not sure where you’re going with this (I’m not even sure you wanted to answer to me) but the problems hardcore gamers are facing right now are the problems casuals players will face in two or three weeks.
Or people wanting a fleshed out ARPG.
Those are the people who are going to have a better understanding of what’s good for the game. Hence the CRITICISMS of the game.
That’s something people need to get through their heads. It’s not “complaints”, it’s criticism. A lot of long time Diablo fans are frustrated with the state of the game and the design choices. That frustration bleeds into the tone of their criticism. Not everyone is adept at conveying their thoughts in a non-frustrated tone when talking about something they hold dear being done wrong.
The overwhelming majority are enjoying the game, the 100-200 clueless complainers on the forums are far from relevant.
I am, kind of. My sorcerer is now in T4 but it feels…redundant. I started a rogue (level 26), druid and barb but the thought of leveling again (at least atm) is soul crushing (to me). Not sure what I am going to do tbh. I am one of those “alt” guys. In every game I have a crap ton of alts. D2, D3, POE, WoW (no longer play though), GW2. I immensely enjoy the leveling experience (but do not in D4).
The people enjoying the game are too busy playing the game.
Like PoE? There’s no way in hell I’d ever play PoE without using guides. I am a simple man, I like simple things. I kill demons, I get paragon points. Simple as.
Why are you assuming I’m talking about another ARPG? I want Diablo 4 to be a fleshed out ARPG. I’m not comparing it to anything else when I say that.
Sorry Bnahabra - you’re right I didn’t mean to reply to you directly. It was meant as a general comment in the thread.
