Spiritborn season 6. Never forget.
Rod Fergusson left his mark. Like a giant turd in the toilet that didn’t get flushed and you have to walk into the bathroom and see it.

You let that turd stick to your mind rent free?
May i offer you my sympathy?
What’s that first sentence? Are you having a stroke?
Sympathy? No one likes walking into a public restroom and seeing a giant unflushed turd. You like seeing one? Really?
Do you lean down and smell it?
4 scrolls or Holy Bolt (cuts down that fight in half)
D1 and D2 and much of D3 were external games while D4 can be played as an external game but is largely designed as a seasonal game. They are similar but still vastly different games.
Diablo 2 Resurrected exists for people who really don’t want to play a seasonal version…
So, you failed but you also learned what is needed to win. You adapt, overcome and win. That is the best part of these games. This is sadly missing in D4 but that’s OK, my wallet remains closed, and my time spent in this game is less than I spend on the forums hah hah.
That’s how Blizzard wanted it.
I wouldn’t mind seeing some rpg/soulslike hard elements added back in to boss fights. Probably wouldn’t be an issue either if such fights were optional (and not applied to current bosses) and you could figure out their weaknesses and earn cool new custom spells/abilities or anything.
Keep that dark, adrenaline filled, mysterious type encounters vibe in the game somewhere maybe. But I do need to progress past this boss and see more to get a better feel for the first game.
I can’t recommend that mod, it is very poorly balanced in the enemy’s favor to the point it is just unfun to play. The only time it becomes remotely tolerable is when you are completely twinked, and even then you can still die easily. To put into perspective, playing Path of Exile as a newbie is easier than playing that mod.
Even my wife beat that game back in 1997. Shame on you /wink
Humm, where is my D1 original savegames???
And another “software”…
