There was never a doubt in my mind that casuals would be catered to in the end. Just like how casual D3 became, I fully expected D4 to end up being just as if not more casual friendly than D3. It was always going to snowball over time, and will continue to do so. This is primarily why I spent so much time with the beta and launch versions of the game.

Look at D3, That game is a casual fest. Free grear, 37000 LB spots, rains legendaries just for logging in, sets that do 100,000% more damage???

The problem with these influencers, Is they make things look different then what they really are. Look up a leveling build and what do you know? Why it’s a leveling build with bis gear. Not really a good way to show such a build as it gives a false representation of what the actual game play will be like.

Well, considering the game was ruined the moment it was released, no it’s not really possible to say that.
The game has a terrible foundation for a video game. Class design is homogeneous, Itemization is convoluted and just not fun. The UI looks like it was designed over a decade ago. The game is missing all modern gaming quality of life features. The dev’s can’t release ladder until season 3(probably a manipulation ploy because they know the game won’t have much going for it on release). Resistances can’t be fixed until season 2? More stash space can’t be added easily?
By all means if you think this is a good game. Let the Dev’s continue to take you for a ride. This game was never good. Their balancing approach won’t fix it or make it better because the core of the game is missing. The game has no soul.
For all I can tell it feels like I’m playing a dumbed down version of D3 and that game was released in 2012.
Are you suggesting they go back to a single difficulty?
You bemoan LFR, but they also added heroic and mythic difficulties too.
Imagine catering to all skill levels.

Just play without some of your armor pieces if you feel like the game is so easy.
Just from reading the title, what does “Casual” mean to you? Why is that not what you want?
I mean i am happy with changes, and happy to hear more nerfs is coming to vul.
Overall yes us casuals won, and we getting a exp buff to boot. This game is shaping up nicely.
lvling up is never the point of an ARPG.
Its actually the boring part of game.
an arpg’s main fun is the end game.
especially for 3 month seasons. shouldnt spend a ton of that limited time lvling.
Or you could win the lottery. Winning the lottery is great everyone should do it. 
But you do point out a big problem with games and communities like this, they would rather attack other customers than put blame for what they don’t like on where it belongs. Or just realize maybe you are no longer the target audience.
Either way I consider myself a casual, because ARPGs are not games that require 100s of hours of practice. To say I was HARDCORE at this, is a sad statement in itself. I enjoy playing them, but I also hate many of them as they are just repetitive on button push games…and this one started out a little better.
Games are played for fun. No one is to blame because some manchild can’t adjust to reality.
